This topic should be public knowledge, people need to be made aware of things like this. If you didn't take biology in highschool or work with animals most people have no way of knowing about this. Approaching a dead or dying animal is extremely risky! Parasites need a living host so even before an animal dies the parasites are desperately seeking a new host. Even the ground around the animal can be hiding parasites waiting to jump on the next warm body.

My goodness this was so heartwrenching but to hear Sierra speak at the end saying "Finally I can go home and sleep in my own bed!" What a precious brave child. She'll have a story to tell when she gets older for sure ❤

Bless the doctors and the nurses. What she said as a patient and going to sleep in her own bed is absolutely true. She he doctors and nurses do not sleep. They work around the clock!

If it’s in her blood, that’s not the Bubonic Plague; that’s the Septisemic Plague. Same disease but far FAR deadlier.
Like… the Bubonic plague is the good ending because you have a 40% chance of survival…
This… if I remember rightly, we’re talking a less than 10% rate of survival once it’s in the blood.
… I can’t remember exactly where I got this info, but I believe it was Puppet History.

Anybody who's really interested in plague should watch what happened in Eyam, England, during the 1665 plague years. Eyam deliberately separated itself from other towns; the population divided into 3 groups, according to DNA. 1. Those who got the disease and died; 2. Those who got it and survived; and 3. Those who never got it at all.

imagine ur kids are being overly dramatic abt having a cold, saying "mom I fell absolutely terrible like ima dieeee" and then the mom responds with "when I was ur age, I got the bubonic plague and survived, ur gonna live. All u have is a cold."

Being cured with antibiotics proves it's bacterial, not a virus, as no 'virus' has ever been isolated or identified.

Did she really have multiple buboes? Most people get only one. The medieval Black Death, though, typically showed multiple buboes too.

Jesus. Thank god nobody got it (hopefully) apart from her but she was better! If someone did and came in contact with lots of other people, it would’ve been over for the entire world!
