Why CVS Sucks Now…And Is Getting Worse
There’s a crime wave at CVS, but you’re being lied to about who’s behind it. The company is under-staffing stores, underpaying workers, and forcing pharmacists to chase money at the expense of patient safety. “I’m afraid I’m going to kill someone,” said one pharmacist.

There was a recent hearing in Congress where AOC grilled the leader of Caremark about these practices. It was a treat to watch.

Great respect to pharmacists despite their big paychecks going out and organizing qith their fellow pharmacists and pharmacy techs, yelling at pharmacy boards and yelling at legislatures to try and make a change

It's deliberate, folks, to undermine American society, one of many, many different pieces that, all taken together, are being used to attack us from within and take us down, creating the level of societal instability necessary for a violent authoritarian takeover. This isn't a theory; it's how authoritarian takeovers throughout the world have operated for many decades. Create the problem, then offer the solution to the problem you created. When things get bad enough, people will demand those causing it (not knowing they caused it) to "save" them. Pharmacists and customers adversely affect should initiate a class action lawsuit against their corporate overlords.

Seven years ago, there was a Senate hearing on the issue of whether or not it was ethical for CVS to have bought AETNA Health for $69B. I remember watching that hearing and thinking to myself that Senator Cicilline must have been paid off by the CVS monopoly. https://www.youtube.com/live/LKEIyQvsoLs?si=OIv71XQUAfgPaylk Bottom line is that "benefits managers" corporations should not be allowed to exist, and Big Pharma corporations should not be allowed to own health care clinics nor health insurance companies. Pharmaceutical companies should have profit caps imposed upon them so that they are only allowed a reasonable percentage of profit (@ 12% to 18%) on top of their actual manufacturing cost per pill. There should be no need for another third party middle man to have to "negotiate" the price of medication a patient has to pay.

I have never experienced this at a CVS, Prices are way up but but service seems OK. But corporate America will be our American superhighway to serfdom and we will don our chains thinking we are a free people. Fox Noise and America's preachers will be shouting you are free embrace your chains.

Same for Dollar General and Dollar Tree. They won't staff them because they're so cheap and greedy.

CVS is overpriced compared to other stores and you can never find anyone to help out. Also, some of the staff is rude.

What he says at 2:21 is exactly true, i was a shift manager for front store 1.5 years and transition to pharmacy tech for 0.5 years, i never got to fully transition bc there wasnt enough hours allotted to our store. U have to have more customers and push out more medications in order to get more hours to ur store. Even if the pharmacist was alone and overwhelmed with customers i wasnt allowed to jump back there and help from front store because they didnt have the hours the store managers and pharmacist would just get in trouble if u did that. I had to go to other stores i never stepped foot in as a substitute in order to get more than just 8 hours behind the pharmacy in my own store

My independent pharmacy just closed their doors one day and transferred all of our Rx to Walgreens. Then I saw the pharmacist from the closed one working at that same Walgreens. I said oh hey Carl I guess I see why you transferred us to Walgreens.😂 I've since moved to a different independent pharmacy
@kinley.-.

I used to use Walgreens but when i got a new job i had to transfer to CVS. I absolutely hate them, the employees are always rude af and i can’t even blame them because they seem overworked and stressed 24/7.

I have a question why does the US have this way more labor-intensive system where the pharmacist have to put a particular amount of pills in the little bottles for each patio? Her in Germany all medicine is per-packets from the Pharma company in three sizes N1 (most the time 10 pills) N2 (20 or 50 pills) or N3 (100 pills) so my Doc just writes the medicine with a N1,2,3 behind that.

That's the reason they want all their items locked away so they can have 1 or 2 people in each store. It's not because of crime or the homeless they can literally protect their stuff while they do everything and everything to make it unsafe

Unending, always increasing, profits are not possible. The illusion of them exists if you merely run each business, each person, each town, into the ground. There’s nothing wrong with making profit. There is something wrong with making profit above everything else, including human decency.

Explains why all the Health plans I keep getting requires you to use CVS as your Pharmacy. I hate CVS – its slow, they dont call you, and dont care. It's also the bigger problem with this country – too many things are concentrated in few companies, which means competition goes away and prices rise, because only they can give it to you.

I don’t know where this is at but I have not had that experience at any CVS pharmacy. They are all well staffed and super helpful. Walk in and get my prescription filled in 10 minutes. They go out of their way to move a prescription and fill it quickly. They even call me when it’s completed if I stepped out while being filled.

What happened specially up in Ramona or Riley they hosted Rite Aid. They did it on purpose now. A person who has three back surgeries both knees, full of arthritis and they’re telling them they can’t get pain medication.I they’re only allowed so much per month so this month CVS was already out of their dispensing medication by 3 January so anybody getting a prescription for opioids is out done your local pharmacy says FU tell me that’s bull sh

hold on. CVS BOUGHT, aetna? the health insurance. not the other way around? wow.

They shipped my medication by USPS and it was lost then they refused to do anything about it. They didn't care that it caused severe medical issues on my part. I became very ill. I finally got tired of all of the crap that goes on with my prescriptions plus how rude how totally rude they are. So I called in a complaint and now any refills called in by my doctor are lost. I can't get my medication from these people. So now I have to switch to another pharmacy.
CVS needs to be shut down!!!!

I was an RN all of my adult life and got hep C. Don't know when….lots of needlesticks. Anyway I went through 3 months of tx and I believe after the first month, was contacted and told the rest would come via mail. Total cost of 3 months $84,000. I didn't think anything of it at the time.

I try to keep going to my independent pharmacy even though I now have to drive there (instead of walk). I love my pharmacy and they are amazing customer service wise and everything-wise. I also pay more for my pills there. And every time I fill a prescription there, my insurance will email me telling me to stop using them because they can do it cheaper via some corporate chain. lol? I hope everyone watching this, IF able can use a local/independent pharmacy! And bless the souls of these workers at these chains.
