We could have used a little more context to that story. Did any have a problem with their tour manager? Or was it just done out of a drug/booze induced psychosis that he was known to be in during that infamous tour?

Eddie may have been sweet and kind but he was a raging alcoholic and drug addict who treated many people like shit.

He was a genius at his craft who had issues. I hope that he found some peace before he passed.

I don't find this too funny. I don't like people messing with the food or drink of others. I've always felt, you don't play any kind of prank that you wouldn't allow other to play on you. Maybe Eddie is ok with people secretly pissing on his food. If so, then haha

I've been around several alcoholics and their inherent levels of degeneracy are surprisingly predictable. Pissing on things, themselves, their friends, being sick down themselves, it's all pretty gross and a clear sign you need to get help.

Tired of hearing about this guy so he was a good guitar player so what. To me VH is basically the first hair band. Both versions of VH IMO. Pop crap with Sammy & the poser dancing shit with Roth. The idiot smoked 25 packs a day treated Mike Anthony like shit. Ed is overrated & a drugged out slob

For clarity, according to the story…
Smith fkd up, he implied, whether intentionally or not, that he had urine on his hands. He knew his hands were wet coming out of the bathroom and instead of telling evh that they were washed and not fully dry he "hi-5d" evh with them. Evh says "Dude, what the?" after feeling the wet hands and smith states "I was just handling my business", implying that his hands were still dirty from his urine, very, very offensive. Evh responded accordingly to what he saw and heard, returning the sentiment. Idt evh would have done that if not provoked regardless of alcohol or cocaine. It is not evident whether smith realized his error or if it was intentional or a joke. He is lucky as if it was someone else he might have gotten punched and wound up on the floor wondering what happened.

Can't understand the people who don't believe a story like this. EVH was treated like a god by everyone, so he had no limits. Even though he was humble doesn't mean he wouldn't do crap like this when lit. And EVERYONE around him reports that he was lit a lot. He admits it, being an introvert, getting lit to avoid the attention. These stories are probably true and probably the tip of the iceburg, but nonetheless part of the legend good and bad.

I don't know, but he looked like a meth head. Drunk too, but snorting crank to keep him awake. His teeth, that was meth mouth. Not the old biker speed, the new stuff that's making people psychotic.

šŸ˜‚. That sounds like how drunk, people told me Eddie would get. I had a blast meetin Brent before that Album came out. I was a fill in for a guy in a Tennesee band one summer. Met Brent at an O’Charlies in Knoxville. Was just this long haired chill dude. My singer teased him cuz he just signed w Atlantic but was in Knoxville. Next thing I know Im seein him around LA all the time and I got kicked outta the whiskey upstairs cuz I didnt have a passšŸ˜‘. Turns out that was thier one off nite on the VH tour. I liked them w Jasin on guitar. Zach doesnt do it for me but Old Shinedown was cool.
