The Edge was a mantra I created in a college contest. I did not have U2 music in my mind at that time. It was just about the edge students needed to obtain a job by graduating.

To me edging is about coming close to death as 2 of the band have sorry if that’s to obvious btw ur knowledge of the guitar is beyond anything I’ve seen

9:04 Weezer once made a song called "Starlight". The chorus contains the lines "The pain you felt has burdened you / You can't feel loved", but Rivers decided to add these stupid hand claps during those lines and completely destroy the mood he was trying to convey. It was recorded during the sessions for the Green Album, but thankfully it was not included in the final album – it was released as a B-side to "Hash Pipe" in the UK and the Netherlands.

As an Aside. Blink 182 has a song called "Peggy Sue" on their first album. Not sure if its a Buddy Holly reference.

I love how generous j.h was while making this. He does seem to be having fun with how easy and obnoxiously simple it is…. and that blink charm got a few kids to pick up a guitar in 2002.

They had a promo video before the song came out and the ensuing tour. Everyone in the video talks about how they’re coming. Over and over again. I’m 💯 certain they named the song edging just to be able to do that promo video. And as a life long fan of Blink One Eighty Two 😂😂 it’s absolutely on brand and perfect and we fans would expect nothing less.
