Keith, I'd never laugh, brother. As we age, nostalgia bites us like a bee sting regardless of who or what you were or are.

I went from a rap and Rock fan back in the 80s to listening to the Bangles and Bananarama all because those songs bring me back. Still love my Metalica and Public Enemy, but I've also learned to love many other great hits as a kid.

As a Gen X myself I just cant get into vinyl. Like you said we all started with records, cassettes, cd. So basically im big into the original pressings and do support shops to buy great 80's music and CDs. That Expose btw is excellent. Had it as a cassette as a kid and also now have the album.

I just wanted to mention that I'm also a big 80's fan! I got ALL four of the titles I was looking for on Record Store Day! The B-52's Picture Disc of their 1979 album, the one with the yellow cover with "Rock Lobster" on it! And I also picked up The Starship "We Built This City" Picture Disc! Thompson Twins "Into The Gap LIVE" & "Dead or Alive Youthquake Remixes"! 🤩

I picked up a few things including The Neverending Story Soundtrack. You should check out Icehouse album Measure for Measure, it features a song called No Promises that's decent.

I met Expose back in the 80's when they played the club scene in NY a number of times. If you know their history they aren't the original three that started. The original the Sandee. Ale and Laurie Miller. All great people. Nice pickups.

McDonald's sold DVD's a couple of times in the early 90's. You purchased a value meal and you could add a movie for an additional price ($5.99) I remember Field Of Dreams. Ghost and The Adams Family being part of this 1993 promotion.

    Rekkids?
    Rekkids??
    You guys aren’t old skool!
    I’m old skool.
    Why?
Because I only listen to my tunes on Thomas Edison wax cylinders!!
You ain’t heard the album ‘Synchronicity’ unless you beeswax the heck outa it!!
Ok that was a silly joke, vinyl is the clear winner amongst all of the music recording formats.
Somewhere (Walkman) we went down the rabbit hole of portability of music.
Like the automobile,it seemed like a good idea at the time.
But,that disc of vinyl, previously corn starch,it is standing up rightfully, saying “Uh-huh,see? I told you so! Listen to my depth of sound. That crackle? Clean the damn needle, rookie! I am purity of sound. Count how many grooves I got. If you said hundreds, then put me out of my misery. I have 2.
One single spiraling groove on side A,and one single spiraling groove for my favorite side, side B.”
Ok,now I continue to view this video.

when first released in U.S. theaters, Wayne's World included a riff more recognizably Zeppelin. But, as director Penelope Spheeris once explained, the rights for even a few notes of the song got too steep for the film's home release.

Love you guys, thank you for taking us with you for Record Store Day! I used to have that Duran Duran album, I loved the track "All she want Is"…there's some good remixes of that track out there. I live in Dallas and I went to four record stores near me trying to find the Prince RSD release but no luck so far… I'll keep looking, don't want to pay eBay prices!

What I find annoying is new mixed in with original records. I love that Living Colour album on your back wall. I have my original copy. InSoc is cool too!
