I gotta say shrek 2. Not just because of “I need a hero” but the stakes, and buildup from both movies. I also think the curse of the were rabbit from Wallace and grommet deserves a mention, as well as kubo and the two strings

Upcoming films coming up to 2 years I believe will have exciting final battles are The Legend of Aang, Mutant Mayhem 2, and Beyond the Spiderverse.

Here are a few other animated films with great final battles: Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3, The Wild Robot, The Incredibles 2, and Big Hero 6.

The ending fight in The Boxtrolls has probably the best action of any stop-motion animated movie! Between Eggs and the trolls vs Archibald Snatcher in his giant machine, it almost felt like a final boss level in a video game 🤩😄

Personally I think the canal battle is the best final fight in the KFP series, but all the final fights in the trilogy were great minus KFP 4 anyway, that final fight against the Chameleon in KFP 4 was mid.
