Mandela Effect: Solved ✅ (or so they want you to think)

Head to https://squarespace.com/nostalgianerd to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain using code NOSTALGIANERD ~ The Mandela Effect is a term used to describe shared false memories, where large groups of people seem to remember something different to what history shows us. This can be an incident, a story, a logo, a name, a series of events; pretty much anything. The weird thing is, many people seem to have the same false memories. Why is this?

Mandela effect seemed absurd to me since i distinctly remember reading his obituary on Wikipedia in 2013. The few times though it has happened to me IRL were before 2013 and the whole "craze" as well as after it when reflecting on what other people also swear by. For example one that really bothered me is the Kit-Kat/ Kit Kat one as it was a a "recent" "flip" if you will, because I remember not paying attention to it until i started liking them frozen in 2010 then in 2013 i was shattered noticing (not because of Mandela effect being spoken of) but literally noticing the dash / hyphen was absent. I was literally shattered its like someone telling you you didn't have a dog or relative growing up even though you know you did. FUNNY thought that some people insist spelling words incorrectly isn't incorrect until notified, but that's just called typos or errors or idiocy, not the Mandela FX. Edit: also one of my FAVOURITE ones is the line "Mirror Mirror on the wall… etc" its actually "Magic mirror on the walll… etc"

There is no effect there are powerful people changing small things in order to get away with changing more important details of recent history in subjects that really matter. I think this has been going on for a long time when history needs to be changed by the ruling class.

I am trying to be open minded about the Mandela Effect. However, many of these involve minor details that could be explained, such as Jiffy sounding very similar to Skippy, another peanut butter, and there was a brand Jiffy Pop popcorn. People occasionally misspelling this including newspapers and grocery stores could spread the confusion to others. People that lived in South Africa knew the truth about Nelson Mandela. Kids in playgrounds in the 1980s would say "Luke I am your father" while playing with pretend light sabers but it provided the needed context to the quote. Maybe someday there will be enormous Mandela Effects like 25% of Americans remembering the White House being blue or 33% of Americans remember the Statue of Liberty having both arms down and missing the torch, or a skyscraper that exists in NYC that no one can remember, or 20% of Americans remembering driving on the left side of the road 20 years ago and don't know when it switched.

It's the Monopoly man one that gets me. I still have a VERY clear memory of having a monopoly box when I was younger showing the monopoly man with a monocle.
I also remember Tinkerbelle in the Disney introduction very clearly. But there were versions of that happening, in some other circumstances just not for the original film introductions. So I think that is probably muddled memory!

But I found a new one I absolutely think I remember on this list. The 'piranha' plant on the pipe you can enter in the Mario game. I would have sword that was there. I would have sworn I saw and avoided that! I would have sworn it killed me before.
Then again there were many versions of this game!

Some of those are easily explained as being false memories created by fake logos for cheap imitations of the original product (IE Gucci bags).

Some are explained by the fact that the brain doesn't record and remember every detail or the coherent whole, but bits and pieces, or a general impression of the item. In a psychology of perception class I took in university, it was shown that certain patterns are recorded and the others are filled in automatically. This can explain things like Pikachu's tail. Imitation products rely on this to sell, for example. One such example I've experienced is someone telling me that Christian Louboutin shoes don't have red soles, but red interior inside the shoes (which is incorrect).

Some other ones are explained by someone drawing the VME and sharing it online, and people collectively remembering that variant (Again, Pikachu's tail can be explained by this).

Others, like C3PO's leg, are also easily explained by the fact most people saw the original films on TVs during the 80s and 90s, in poor quality and with old analog signals and given that C3PO is in the desert or in orange/yellow/white colored scenes in a lot of the films, his leg never pops out enough. He's also a secondary character without too much screentime, his legs are often hidden on screen (only shown from his waist up) and people have seen fan art and comics featuring him with regular colored leg. IIRC, the Laser Disc version also has poorer quality image and the silver leg stands out less. If you ask people who watched the OG movies in the cinema, they'll most likely remember this correctly.

Mandela effects are not alternate reality, they're just the result of incorrectly remembering something and people who really remember something because they've analyzed it properly, will often correctly recall the details. Some could say fake fans of brands or casuals who are not really fans might misremember details of a brand a lot more. And it's all because of how the brain works.

10:57 Nice try with the Mandela Effect there. It was Pokemon Red and Blue. Green was exclusive to Japan. That Pokemon Green Box Art is a fake. And I distinctly remember Pokemon Red and Blue releasing in 1996.

Can't believe no one caught this even 9 months after the video's been out.

I had two Mandela effects from the past myself and they are alabret. The first one was at the very end of Robotech the new generation. I as a kid remember seeing the hero from the first series all old now and wearing a big captains jacket as he flies his big spaceship back to earth to pick up the heroes from the new generation and the guy that sings does the we can win song but instead he says we must go we must go. Number two is an episode of the 1980's version of the Twilight zone. It was the one with the lady that could stop time because she found a mysterious necklace and wore it. If she said stop all time would stop. I as a kid remember a part where a door to door salesman knocks on her door and she answers it and then stops time and the guy is just standing there like a statue. Well I remember the lady getting close up to the guy and then her getting the idea to feel up the guy but at the last second she steps back because she is married and that would be wrong. Well that part never happened when you watch it now as well as the Robotech story too. My theory is that the Mandela effect is real and I think it's because of nuclear bomb testing changing reality in ways that the scientists that invented the bomb never could comprehend. Heck they had military guys in the desert near the bomb tests at first not knowing that those poor soldiers were gonna die from Cancer for being there out in the open. See what happens when humans try to mess with the forces of nature. I heard today more nukes are gonna be tested by America soon. Good then maybe that will save me some money on liquor so I can forget without getting drunk. See ya at the resurrection 😮

ME edits to the simulation are embraced by NPCs who are updated with the edit. Those who reject the updates are real players who's memories are stored within their souls outside the simulation where they are beyond the influence of the updates. You solve nothing here bro.

Mandela Effect is IDIOTIC! They keep saying its impossible for a lot of people to misrembering the same thing. Well, guess what, it's possible because we humans like to assume things. Like the Monopoly Man, we all assume OLD MEN wear GLASSES. See? From that example, we can see that we do assume the same thing. But the worst offender is Mandela dying in his prison, I mean wt*… What news were they watching? This is a hoax! And it misled millions of people!

Knockoffs have created the issues, and vintage items have proven alot of logos and characters did have or didn't have certain details. Everything changes

I think I can explain the Tinkerbelle mis-memory. She does this move in the Christmas special. Something I believe most children have seen many times. She opens the Christmas cards so we associate her with Disney. Having probably seen the 80/90's logo 100s of times our child brains couple the two together. I really liked the Christmas show and the breaker animations were the same and some still are. The logo, however, has probably changed many times over the years

The Mandela effact is another psyop. I swear the people at the top are so vile, twisted and planning so long ahead. For many instances they could have made multiple versions from the get-go to ignite the bs at their intended moment in time. "Luke, I am your father."/"No, I am your father." It's as simple as telling James Earl Jones to record two different lines and then have bots (dead internet) or paid people who don't give a crap about anything but getting paid say on the internet that it was always this way. Smoke and Mirrors people, never forget, smoke and mirrors.

We have to talk about the education levels of anybody who was over 18 in 1990 and still cant remember Nelson Mandela's release from prison and ascendancy to the leadership of South Africa. I would bet a thousand bucks that person had practically zero interest in geopolitics and is not South African. For those of you who 'remember' Nelson Mandela dying in prison,,,,, When did apartheid end in your timeline? Who became leader of South Africa when it did? Who was leader before?…… Yeah, didnt think youd remember that either….. Can you even find South Africa on a map?
