This isn’t really telling someone how to listen to music I just wanted to say how I discovered and for me I’m very stubborn and maximalist so I told myself f*** it imma binge rap from season one. I wasn’t into music for half my life and when I did I knew I didn’t know any better. I wanted to get into rap and all I knew was like Eminem,Kendrick Lamar, and Logic.
I made a list with over 150 albums I KNEW were perfect/ amazing(I used rate your music) starting with Straight outta Compton by NWA in 1988 and it’s going to end with king’s disease by nas in 2023 and I’m listened to it from oldest to newest and gained a newfound appreciation to it. It became like keeping up with a show. Doing that has made me undoubtedly probably the best at the aux in my town 😅.
Tl;dr I binged rap from season one to get my understanding and now I can just focus on underground stuff

this is a weird one but depop is an unexpected way i found new music. I search up a less niche artist i like and products come up and then i click on who liked it and stalk their likes and they usually have other music related likes so i give them a try.
