4:09 I'm sure people have mentioned this before; but the reason the actors in Valkyrie used their natural accents is because of the practical reason that – barring certain actors like Thomas Kretschmann – none of them could produce a convincing German accent, especially Tom Cruise.

3:47 The Brit dialect is sort of a 'get out of jail free' card. British actors play Americans or Germans etc and not even TRY the other accent. And hardly anyone says a thing. Sean Connery won an Oscar (The Untouchable) for playing a Chicago cop who sounds like he got off the boat from Glasgow 5 minutes a minute ago.

I won't pretend to have been an avid viewer of Conan's show (I don't watch much TV in general), but obviously, after enough years you see quite a bit and this guy has got to be a top five guest of all time. He's so quick witted and timely and in a second language; which, is impressive as hell bluntly.
