Why cast him as Christian when you’ve cut all his scariest, most toxic moments from the script? I thought it was a great choice at the time because of how equally scary and charming CH can be. But once I saw the movie I just couldn’t understand why they’d chose an actor who doesn’t look like the character, unless they were planning to take advantage of said darkness.
