My first date with my boyfriend was a vacation, technically planned with a group of friends months in advance though. we ended up getting stuck abroad for a couple days because all flights were grounded, it really tested how well we worked together under stress though. really gave us the sink or swim treatment, luckily we must've swam because 3 years later we're still together.

2:21 apparently me and my dad have both been through being identified as Asian. Idk what about us looks Asian, we’re both obviously white Irish people, but have both been seen as Asian people (no hate ofc, I’m just confused). I've never been on a date but the first and only person who has asked me out was a person that had developed an unhealthy attachment to me and considered me their best friend within 2 days of meeting me. They would text me at all hours of the night and trauma dump, they would make up fake scenarios such as a robbery to get attention and have me text them whilst they did the same to my whole friend group. They sent weird texts to my friend's little brother and continued even after he told them to stop. After they asked me out I said no and then, maybe a shitty move I ghosted them completely

I was homebound in 6th grade. The teacher who volunteered for me told me about her husband’s work (after we became friends). Apparently he dreamed of doing some other job but had been so pressured into staying in the family business of mortician & funeral director that he felt like he couldn’t leave even at 50. He never learned how to tie a tie on his own neck, so he had to tie it around his leg first bc he was used to dressing bodies.
However, I met a guy at a club who must’ve donated all of his charisma to his buddy. He was very awkward telling my friend and I that he was nearly done studying to be a mortician. He started by saying “You’ll probably think I’m weird.” I told him that it’s a very important job that somebody has to do.
Also, my mom’s computer science dept. at a community college is right next to the mortuary science department. A lot are young students

I would relate to the first story girl so much. I once had a buddy who got run over by a car, which killed him. My friends and I mixed his ashes with coke and snorted him up. He still haunts my dreams (jk, I haven't been haunted)
