Lots of people asked for the song for the Empire State segment and I’m sorry to disappoint but I just made an AI instrumental for the edit and then trimmed it to fit with the Gatsby quote then tweaked it until it sounded good. https://suno.com/song/56199a21-16e1-4906-b3db-5d847cf81a18 .

When you said art deco I actually got so freaking excited and then it didn't look art deco at all (which is understandable because nobody can afford it but it would be so cool)

I didn't think you would call me out like that. I don't like trendy home decor. But then you said warm retro and yeah my home is mostly filled with stuff from my grandparents time and like 40 plants.

You forgot gay maximalism. Plants, street signs, band posters, phycadelic tapestries and pride flags coat each wall to the the point where you can’t tell what color the room is. It’s dark at all times and shows the world that it wasn’t just a phase

Dad comment: glass block has half the R value of modern windows. For moderate climates – Carolina’s, Tennessee, Kentucky, central Cali – amazing solution to letting in light while maintaining privacy
What would be a cool architectural design is if you could somehow have a hallway or sitting room some sort of non-essential room that is Florida ceiling windows, but then the interior room like the bathroom has a glass block wall so it still receives the light while maintaining privacy And not sacrificing any our value. But that would be a pretty significant design left.
Everything comes down in building into the same thing being able to step away from our traditional floor, plans and building designs. I feel like we have to completely throw it all in the trash now that we have lamb beams and other advanced building materials that don’t limit our span.
