I’m rereading these comments years later and wow… I almost forgot there was once a time when I and apparently other people actually liked Sia

History is funny innit?

In hindsight, I was way too quick to blame Taylor for the Kanye feud. No way anyone would content to having a naked wax sculpture of them used in a ye music video. And after watching the fd signifier video on ye, the fact he was addicted to porn at the time and featured a naked facsimile of Taylor over him saying "I think me and Taylor might still have sex" skeeves me out in a way I'm not sure I can properly articulate.

got a cheez-it ad on this video (they're making a blank-faced wheel of cheese into a mascot by putting a beanie on it) so that's all i could picture being under todd's hood

The girl who dances in the Cheap Thrills video is NOT Sia. It's a younger lookalke, but at least you can see her face. I think she was also in Chandelier.
PS. Any chance we can raise some funding to find a cure for Sia's autoimmune condition?

It’s funny, I’ve never felt the millennial/gen z disconnect more acutely that when Todd asked how you’re supposed to dance to. That one Calvin Harris song. I guess I can kinda see his point, but that’s the exact kind of vapid dance-pop I grew up with, and I’d be lying if I said that it didn’t get my heart pumping at least a little.

“She’s just always there” hits different in 2024. She hasn’t dropped an album since Anti in 2016 and is still dominating charts and in the top 10 most streamed monthly artists on Spotify. Woman is going to wreck the music industry whenever she drops that 9th album she’s been teasing for years😭

This is how you know Todd doesn't fuck with EDM. That "verse" wasn't the verse, it was the drop.

I went to see Calvin Harris in Vegas on NYE 2020, sang my heart out to this song with a random guy but changed the lyrics to scooby dooby doo, top 10 best moments of my life

Work is in patois. Its very tiring for people to say it’s gibberish without bothering to look it up. Its not the deepest song in the world ofc but , there are actual lyrics.

This is unrelated to both songs, but the thumbnail art is by far my favorite from Todd's videos

‘Bring Taylor Swift a peeled grape‘ killed me. And she deserves it after all the shit she’s gone through.

There’s something about Maddie Ziegler’s dancing that’s fascinating to me… It’s like calculated madness.

If you do any research about Sia’s life during the time of the release of her earlier albums, her hiding her face for privacy reasons makes more sense.

The worst part is that… "This Is What You Came For", with some editing and polish, could be a Taylor song right next to Style of Wildest Dreams. I could work with that.
