Absolute faves: The North Avenue Irregulars, Flight of the Navigator, Mr. Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy, B.R.A.T. Patrol, and the Parent Trap sequels. I only have vague memories of Not Quite Human but I remember liking it.

I watch a lot of younger You Tubers doing "first watch reactions" of older movies and they LOVE them. So I think if Disney would take a chance and release some of these movies they might be surprised at how well they would be received.

Does anyone remember Child of Glass? It wasn't made in the 80's, I want to say 1977 or 1978, and it was actually kind of a spooky ghost story but still okay for kids.

70s and 80s Disney movies were something different! I miss some 70s ones like The North Avenue Irregulars and Early 80s ones like Gone are the Dayes. From the 80s Disney Sunday movies, I loved B.R.A.T. Patrol with Sean Astin!!!

Thank you. I've been looking for a movie since I was a kid but all I knew what that it was a Disney Sunday night flick and it took place in space and I had a crush on the red head. Now I know it was Earth Star Voyager

My favorite made for tv Disney movie was from the 70's. It was s kid friendly ghost movie called CHILD OF GLASS. It takes place on an old plantation haunted by a little girl with a french accent.

OMG, Earth Star Voyager! I was just thinking about that the other day! I was obsessed with it! What crime that it didn't spawn a show. Shout out to Parent Trap 3.

Hey… I'm a first year Millennial. I'd wager my experience is far closer to that of Gen-X than many in my own generation. My childhood was filled with everything from The Cat from Outer Space to Beyond Witch Mountain to Spaced Invaders… Hmm… Space was a common theme for our movies, wasn't it?

I remember a show on Disney channel in the 90s that I think was imported from somewhere in the UK called Spell Binder. I don't remember it well but I remember it as this Kid in King Arthurs court like show where a "modern" kid went to this world where tech is outlawed or something and the Spell Binders use suits with electrical abilities/batteries??
Any one else remember this fever dream?

I know it's a bit earlier on the timeline, but one obscure movie I loved was "The Ballad of Hector the Stowaway Dog." About a seafaring Airedale who was instrumental in helping catch jewel thieves. Disney Vault needs to come back!!

I loved North Avenue irregulars as a kid. We had it on VHS because we taped it off the TV. Good times!! Fun trip down memory Road.
Xennial here! It was so much to see how many of these I remembered! I remember even more from the magical world of Disney era , especially when you mentioned parent trap three and parent trap Hawaiian honeymoon. I have seen all the parent trap movies!

I watched so many of them from the Walt and Eisner years. Those were AWESOME Sunday night entertainment. And thanks to book fairs, I got myself the novelizations of almost all of the ones I loved. Somewhere in my mess of mementoes, I still have those books, too!

Ahh those were the days. Original movies. Imagine that. 😂

The thing I loved about Disney movies from that era was that they weren’t dumb. I feel like Disney stuff now is so dumb and hard to watch. Those old movies still hold up though. They actually took things seriously.

My favorite Disney movies growing up were Journey of Natty Gann and Flight of the Navigator. I’ve watched them recently too and they still hold up! Some from the 90’s I remember loving too were A Far Off Place and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken. I need to rewatch those to see how they hold up, but I’m sure they will. They just don’t make heartfelt G rated movies like that any more. It’s really a shame.

I’ve been realizing lately just how unique and lucky being able to grow up in the 80’s was. I’m so grateful to have experienced that. It truly was a magical time.

Michael Eisner was the beating heart of the company once Walt and Roy passed on. The worst mistake the company ever made, and the beginning of their downfall, was choosing Iger over Eisner.

Wow thank you for sharing these. I had forgotten but remembered them all once I saw them. I have a question for anyone in the comments I hope someone can help me. I remember two movies and only a very obscure scene from each one. Please I hope some one can ID these for me. I have been searching for decades.
One. A movie set in Australia with a group of kids. I just remember a scene where a bully ripped the screen off an aviary and let all the parakeets and cockatiels fly away into the woods. The kids then made traps and managed to get all the lost pets back. It might have been on Disney Channel.
Two. A movie about a guy that when he touched people could feel their emotions and at the end saved a boy that had a heart condition and no one knew about. I think it was also Disney channel maybe Nickelodeon I really don't remember. Does anyone know these?

At the 336 mark, I recorded that on VHS and absolutely loved it. I have yet to see what the name of it is again but the biggest thing I remember, is it talked about dinosaur eggs that the brother and sister were selling.
