    16:04–31:42 I liked this interaction between Sydney and Ethan, also how Sydney was just listening to him given that he has way more experience in acting than her, so she could probably learn some things about Ethan. I mean they are from two completely different generations of actors and actresses in Hollywood, even though there is always something to acknowledge or learn from the words of experience.

    When I saw Christy, I had no idea who she was. And by the end of the film I was like "how come I never heard much about this?" And it's sad that because of a backlash against Sydney Sweeney for that jeans ad, she probably will not get nominated by the Academy. And her performance was one of the best female leads of the year, IMO. Ditto Ben Foster, who I knew briefly in Hollywood but I did not even recognize him in this role. Ethan Hawk is always a great conversationalist.

    They chose him for Syndey because he's a very fine gentleman. He was kind to Rihanna and he makes pretty women feel safe while also protecting his wife and boundaries! I love this man.

    This was a nice pairing – he’s older, so introspective and has such a long and varied career. She’s under 30 and while she’s popular, Christie is the one movie 🍿 that’s probably worth talking about from an acting perspective. As one of the ten people or so who saw the movie, I’m glad she’s proud of her work in this movie- she was really good. Ethan brought this out. Her questions of him were a more open ended but Ethan’s been doing this a long time and new immediately how to bring it back to interesting stories about himself when appropriate.

    Ethan Hawke is SO WISE! I truly admire him and the way he talks I love how he's always trying to share his heart, experiences and reflections. He's such a deep thinker.
