An Unprecedented Corporate Assault is Coming. Can It Be Stopped?

More Perfect Union | December 28, 2025

Corporations are planning an assault on workers’ rights once Trump takes office. It’s time for Democrats to fight at the state level. In over a dozen states the Democrats have the power to overturn anti-union laws or pass key worker protections. Now they need to act.

More Perfect Union’s mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means:

We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective, and we attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions.

We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power, and we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems.

You can pass all the legislation you want, but if the rules and regulations aren't enforced, it ends up just being performative. That's what happened under Biden. I will never accept this notion of him and his administration being a friend to labor given how they shafted the railroad workers. That was a mask-off act that showed who they really were and whose interests really serve. Fuck that narrative.

Hey union people if you think your worth more money go work somewhere else. Are your current employers keeping you captive? This is America you can see what the real world thinks you're worth instead of staying at a job you hate

Demand more from your government for less tax dollars and not your employer. Unionized or not you won't be able to afford your government. This IS the distraction keeping us all poor.

But it seems like a lot of unions voted for trump. I don’t understand how people fell for the biggest con I have ever seen, and that’s voting for trump. People were sooo blinding by hate and didn’t realize that immigrants are not the problem. Immigrants are not taking your jobs, and money, it is the rich. And now they see that, and it is too late. I hope in 4 yrs we still have our rights, heck I hope we will still have a country.
People didn’t pay attention to all the bright red flags, and now they are suffering. Wellll good luck.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS STORY!!!!!! It is crucial to investigate the situation at New Jersey Transit, where nearly 87% of workers are paid below the regional standards for the tri-state area. These workers have not seen their contract renewed in over two and a half years. Additionally, 8 out of 10 employees are forced to take on second jobs to cover basic expenses like childcare and education for their children. This story deserves attention to highlight the injustice faced by New Jersey Transit workers.

Im not mad that billionaires vote for whats best for them. Im mad that upper, middle and lower class people are voting for billionaires interests which will male everyone poorer except the rich. People need to understand that money is finite which means that when a billionaire earns more this means that someone earns relatively less. Especially when a company of a billionaire has employees that cant even pay rent. Maybe the worker needs the money more than the billionaire.

The Union I worked for sucked. Unions are NOT the answer and just suck away your money with "fees" while donating to causes you probably don't support. I would have opted out to not be in the union if I could, but it was mandatory for the job.

I remember in my orientation when I worked at Target back in 2009 they showed a video that said if you were caught trying to form a union you'd be fired immediately. I didn't realize that that was bad because I was a young and dumb 20 year old, but yeah it's not good that they did that.
