Richie Halford Judas Priest will always be overrated. Everything is done by samples and soundboard magic. Quit saying that's it's the same band as 30 years ago. Ripper/KK already perfected certain songs in the Painkiller setlist.
Painkiller has no intensity when the singer is nothing like his former self. Scott is ok. Richie will never be 100% and there's Andy still searching his laptop for that Glenn Tipton tone.

No need in diminishing the legacy of the Still Reigning DVD but that's shoah business. Makes no sense playing RIB in its entirety when the drummer can't keep up or just plays his way.

I just saw Judas Priest in Pennsylvania a few weeks ago. There was a little girl in the row in front of me wearing a shirt that said "Judas Priest was my dad's favorite band" and the band made sure she got Scott Travis's drumstick and a few guitar picks.

Scott Ian said on Insta that it is awesome to play with Maiden again and are maybe going to play new songs and have their new album and touring with it and that mean that next year before they play with Maiden they are releasing their new album after all of these years of waiting Holy moly. Lets hope it happens. That Lineup is incredible hope that Lineup was in Europe now but what can you do. There were awesome news this week.

No Sacred Reich drama. Dave McClain released a statement 3 days ago, "Since rejoining in 2018 we made great music and had fun times together. I've decided to move on and I wish them all the best in the future." I don't buy much new metal anymore because most of it sounds like over produced, processed, quantified crap now, but I've been listening to the new Castle Rat, which sounds gloriously raw, plus the new Unleashed, Benediction, Gruesome, Wardruna, and Ghost that came out this year.

Would there be enough to discuss about for a video after the shield of pain tour has ended? Looking back at the shows and what's next for JP. I just like to keep up to date with what the band is doing.

MTV is a punchline now, but it was a lifeline if you grew up in the rural U.S. in the early 80s. My introduction to Ozzy was seeing the Speak of the Devil concert on the MTV Saturday night concerts. The first year MTV operated, they were desperate to fill 24 hours of airtime and it was common to see videos from the likes of Maiden, Krokus or Triumph in the middle of the day. And I discovered my all-time favorite, Fates Warning, during the last hour of Headbangers Ball one night. Living in a cultural wasteland, I’m not sure I’d have come across any of that music — especially Fates.

I've seen judas priest live like 30 times, as they are without a shadow of a doubt my favorite band, and in 2018 i swore them off because Deep Purple of all bands blew them out of the water… FF to this year and my kids wanted to go see them live, and my goodness am I glad I did. They absolutely crushed it that night. Faulkner didn't sound like Zak Wylde the whole night, Sneap didnt have the stage presence of a soggy cardboard box, itcwas really cool seeing him actually seemingly enjoying himself ….Ian and Scott… well they're always awesome… and I don't know what Halford is doing to train vocally, but he sounded WAY WAYYYYY better than 7 years ago; there were no prerecorded screams like in Valhalla (dont believe me, go listen to the live recording from years ago in the middle of the song… 110% the scream from the album, you can even hear it cut in) or strange pitch shifting effects, it was just pure metal belching that genuinely surprised me
