…. for literally 30 YEARS now …I've been thinking i went to a concert in texas on summer vacation a week after graduating high school in 1982 and saw UFO and DOKKEN play live from right up front 8 feet from the stage…. and I literally JUST realized that it was actually….NOT Dokken…. it was a early 80's UFO and ALDO NOVA! lol…

See that's George Lynch's whole problem is he undermined everything that Dokken ever did by calling it silly or saying they were following motley Crue he's the reason why nobody really respected him saying that their lyrics were stupid and silly things like that

I love Dokken and Don is one of my favorite lead singers of all time but you can get a gist of a person’s ego when they name the band after themselves .. Dokken was stopped by BS ego’s right before they had a chance to become THE biggest band in the world

80s hard rock was mostly written by the band.
Don Dokken did the first one and it flopped – that's what the issue is + lyricists can claim a high percentage due to standing laws around music copyright.

The part all songs written by Dokken is a little sus for Dons claim that he wrote all the material and thats his proof because if he truly wrote all the material I would believe he did if it said all songs written by Don Dokken. The bands name isn't Don Dokken it's Dokken. Sorry I respect him as the great singer he was but he seems a little narcissistic and a major bullshitter.

Being a recording musician and vocalist myself I would bet that George, Jeff and Mick created most of the instrumental tracks and Don and Jeff created the vocal tracks.
Its usually that way in many bands because everyone creates what they do best!

None of this would be happening if Dokken had been a mega-band , or if Don or George had gone off on their own and been wildly successful. It's just like RATT. They continually wanna re-litigate the past because the present never got that good after they broke up. Over the years Lynch got better & better as a guitarist but LM was too late. Imagine if George got the Ozzy gig instead of Jake and now everyone remembered George as Ozzy's guitarist. Then he wouldn't care about what happened in Dokken. Or imagine if Don did some ballad that hit #1 and still gets lots of play today. Then he wouldn't be out there stinking up the joint. And these reunions where they obviously hate each other and are only doing it for they money. Again just like RATT. Does Warren or George really want to play with Stephen or Don ? It's embarrassing. If it was an unknown band everyone would walk out. The singing is that bad.
