Man, can you believe this whole holiday tradition happened because somebody forgot to file paperwork? Bureaucracy accidentally gave us a classic. Which behind-the-scenes moment blew your mind — Uncle Billy’s “I’m all right!” or Donna Reed out-pitching the sharpshooter?

Looking forward to watching this tonight, Christmas Eve. I discovered this classic in the 70’s as a teenager. Have loved it ever since and every time the ending gets me. No matter how many decades have passed. Merry Christmas 🎄

The scenes to do the film justice should have been left in B&W and not reduced to 16:9 format. Otherwise very interesting. Before it broke loose to Television, Art Proctor's showed it for years at Christmas time at his Avalon Theater in Salt Lake.

“Warm and fuzzy”? The second half is anything but. Pottersville is a dystopian warning about predatory capitalism which was copied in Back To The Future Two. I suspect the reason it flopped was it was released too early for Christmas and they advertised it as a rom com.

I miss the days when, on Christmas day, or Chrismas eve. You could find this movie on any channel, some running it non stop.
    This needs to happen again!
It is a terrific story and teaches things about life that people need to be reminded of.

It's always struck me as unusual that the you never get to see the comeuppance of Potter : the true villain of the piece . Also : Uncle Billy really did "dodge the bullet" thanks to the generosity of the public .

Weird fact 16: this is not a christmas movie. It has nothing to do with Christmas besides the beginning and end of the movie saying, hey don't forget it's christmas. If you remove those parts of the movie it's still simply a movie about a flashback into one guys life, and then him thinking he should end his life, then him seeing what life would be like if he was never born, then him deciding he wants to live. Absolutely nothing to do with Christmas

Subscribed as soon as I saw the title. My favourite movie of all time. I’ve been crushed by deferred dreams and alcoholism myself. I have actually died from my self destructive tendencies and been brought back to life by our wonderful nhs. So this movie that was always a childhood favourite is now doubled by personal experience. Thank you so very much for the upload. I’m in good tears now ❤

Truly the perfect Christmas movie……. and yes, I cry like a baby every time I watch. 😢😢😢 The most surprising aspect was the great direction of Capra and how he let things play out naturally beyond the script. Truly a brilliant work of art.
