Entire South American population: 438 million. Entire Central American population: 200 million. Caribbean population: 45 million.
So, why are people in these regions fleeing to the USA? Many of these regions are literally tropical paradises. These nations also have abundant natural resources that could easily make those nations the wealthiest on the planet.
Yet, US policies and failures to solve a national drug crisis affecting 28 million Americans has created an economic mess. 28 million Americans are screwing the US economy, costing our nation over a trillion dollars every year. And hundreds of billions of US dollars flow to drug cartels, exceeding all the US aid to those nations to fight the cartels and replace illegal drug revenues with legitimate economic growth.
This is the fault of Republicans. Reagan and his GD Iran-Contra mess allowed our own CIA operatives to smuggle drugs into the US and flood those drugs into inner cities with high minority populations. Those are facts that are easy to verify.
