0:12 I do high-end hardwood floors in manhattan. I can confirm there are hundreds of billionaires buying their 12th apartment and they never visit. It’s not a home for them, it’s a project, they have no problem ripping up thousands of dollars of work just cause it’s not EXACTLY what they want. They never even stay there, that’s why u have construction projects all over the city that never get finished. They don’t live there, they live in Paris or Barcelona or Madrid or literally anywhere but nyc. Even places in alphabet city which is notoriously the poorest in NYC, apartments are being bought up, renovated, and never touched again. It’s a shame. A waste of money, and a waste of beautiful architecture and the hard work that is construction workers have been putting in for decades
