The Internet allows people to be rude because they don't have to say it face to face and when you say that direct to a person your nicer because you face the consciences when your rude so yeah ignore haters that hate you for no reason is the best why especially if they hate you for what you believe in so ignore them that smart because then it makes them more mad and the more they hate the more they lose

I wonder if ignorance is the best way to deal with people who are hurting from their hate. When you "ignore" anything you are practicing ignorance. A person who speaks 'hate' is telling you that they are hurting and your ignoring them is showing your lack of ability to care about that person.

Ignoring hate comments is great because you just know that the person who sent it is just refreshing the page over and over again, pathetically waiting for a response that will never come.

I just wanted to share, that though I've only watched a few of your videos here and there. I enjoy topics you discuss, vent about, rant over and so on. I think I can recall disagreeing with something once that I heard, however I continue to view you. Aaaaand so after watching this video I'm glad to say…I will keep watching. Mostly because I find it so like anonymous folk who require a lot more back bone, quite HILARIOUS when sending anonymous disrespectful and immature msgs. I honestly think it's for attention and maybe they want to be laughed at then ignored.
    Speak on.

I guess I get why you don't block or delete because, then they'll just use a different account and add more hate. At the same time, I wouldn't like leaving this type of useless drivel cluttering up my board. I prefer to moderate comments because of this. It just comes down to how much effort you want to put into it and how important you think comments are. This why I like the site, Medium. There you can't really comment but you can write an article in response. The brilliance of that is that it takes time and thought to put together an article. So if you're going to troll, you have to work at it. As we all know, trolls are not about work (which why they live under bridges and try to exact tolls ;o)

Hey the1janitor, I really love your new-ish outro music. Do you know where I can listen or even download the full track?

I went to Luna's YT page, but it's empty. Any info would be most appreciated.

Also, loved the vid and your other content. =D

I think a lack of anonymity has bred a peculiar vulnerability to trolls. In groups that are highly anonymous, you occasionally see someone lash out over words exchanged, but mostly people are really pretty chill. When someone comes from a group that isn't anonymous in any way shape or form, like Facebook, it's all the more shocking to be confronted with this kind of nonsense because they're used to their real-life social norms being applicable to the internet. We're starting to see mob action because of violations between two very different social contracts, and that's actually pretty frightening if you think about it.

For me, I find it hard to resist prodding a pointless argument here or there (never really hateful, just designed to pull people in) to reenforce that idea in people's heads, so I guess you could say I'm a troll, but I find it a little worrisome when people don't know how to deal with this constructively and go on to tie their actual identities to behavior that's embarrassing at best, harmful to others at worst.

Personally I find nothing wrong with anonymity online.
But I get that it has no place on sites like Tumblr, anonymity works better if everybody is anonymous.
The way the Internet was always meant to be, before Prism and Data mining.

i spy a dog. when did that happen?

and yeagh, ignoring them is the best thing to do. for instance, i've gotten all kinds of crap about how i spell the word "yea".
    see? ^^^

i started putting the gh at the end of it when i was really young and had this weird pathological need to be different from everyone else. and it just kinda stuck. these days, when people ask about it, i usually just tell them that "yeagh" is not even a word in the first place, which means i can spell it any way i want.

if i wanted to put a silent Q in front of it, then i could. because "Qyea" is not a word. nor is "yea." or "yeah."

people have called me every word for stupid you can imagine for this. as if my spelling of a slang term somehow effects them.

and yeagh, i just ignore them. its not even worth responding too.

In the beginning there was the word and the word was God and the word was with God. Words have the power to create or destroy. Not holding people responsible and accountable for their actions or calling them out will only reinforce their negative behavior. That being said, listen to your Grandma. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.And I only have nice things to say about you. Keep up the great work.

I might also recommend the age old method of humor or satire (God Bless Jon Stewart, Colbert, etc.) as a way of dealing with trolls. Heck, have fun with it ! Lord knows, it seems to be the only way to deal with Trump. I remember once, some one proof read, and corrected for grammar and spelling a letter and returned it. It can be an effective way of deflating your attacker and still look like you're taking the high road. One poster sent me an obscene post. I told them they sounded lonely and asked them if they had found Jesus : ) Never heard from them again. Invite them to your church ! Not only does it shut them up, but it's fun !
