While I agree this is a horrible thing to do, calling it "Australia's Chernobyl" is clickbat.
Chernobyl was caused by human error and a flawed reactor.
The spreading of Asbestos was deliberate and intentional.
Not at all the same thing, and makes it seem less like a crime and more like an accident.

WA government is so corrupt, it's essentially just run by mining companies. Few people realise how corrupt Australia is

Poor animals.. they only think about the surface and the louder but dont care about the bigger consequences for years to follow. May the human greed that harms kill humans.

Corporations don't care about people, only money. If governments had the power to nationalize any company on their soil due to that company demonstrating ignorance or promoting dangerous behavior then any problem could be solved by fear of takeover. Governments wouldn't even need to run that company they would just dissolve it, sell of parts for scrap and fire everyone. Hard problems require hard solutions.

A part of the reason why “no one knows about it” and why it’s not on the news’s or maps or talked about much. Is for the safety of the public. You are not supposed to go there. But if it is advertised then uneducated or stupid people will end up going there and doing something they shouldn’t, and potentially dying. Whether it be accidental or on purpose the risk of death to the unknowing or just stupid is just not worth it.

Looks like the planet has mostly safely sealed this away, we better dig it up! Just like lead too. They knew it was f'd, but they still did it all anyway. The less obvious thing is, rich old people do not have the luxury of waiting for cancer research to properly get done. It'd be one thing if this crap just happened, yet when such massive things happen and they already knew it's bad, it should be alarming.

Wait, they say removing them will be too expensive, but when they allowed people to go to a life threatening area, that was not expensive at all, because people’s lives cost nothing??? WTH?!

This type of thing will keep happening all over the world – not from asbestos anymore, but now PFAs, and then whatever the next things will be… Until you start attaching jail time to the management and leadership positions of the companies that do this. As long as the punishment is just a fine, then it's just an extra tax/expense.

This just shows how government views its people. You are just a number. This like so many other things are just a experiment on the populous. Never trust government or big businesses.
