Alex, Xavier, Jason, etc… Having trouble with body odor and how to control it? Chances are your answers won't be found in philosophical thought or useful concepts for filmmaking and storytelling. Your problem is that you're pretending you have nothing to do with the way you smell. Fix that first, and stop being such an unfuckable waste of life. Selah.

I’ve been fascinated with Humboldt ever since I heard the In Our Time episode about him over a decade ago. Beyond his many scientific and philosophical pursuits, he was also a good friend of Simon Bolivar and was instrumental in securing financial support for the Latin American wars of independence.

Man does not weave this web of life. He is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

It's all connected. We all are a nice, blobby, giant, social tissue.
Hope we don't let it all burn out.

I'm so concerned for my friends, they don't believe that humans, deforestation, carbon emitting vehicles, and zapping up natural resources, etc.. matters or even hurts the planet because "mother nature will heal itself". This worries me because, while the planet will heal itself, over much time, we will probably be wiped out prematurely. Wouldn't you think that they would rather prolong and improve the existence of humanity and our current nature before Earth hits the reset button once again? Somebody help!
