On the strength of me buying an original MOD Duo and since getting a founders' Edition MOD Dwarf, plus starting to mess about with VCV Rack Free, I would love it if you followed up on this.
Yes, I know this video is probably all but lost in the mists of time for you, but MOD Duo X tutorials? That would be wonderful!
PLEASE DO THIS!!!

This is great, i bought the Mod Dwarf on kickstarter as a result of this video. Sad that the company has experienced such financial difficulty, but hoping they can build it up again. Sad news in the synth world, what with that and Modal and Moog and others

HI Ben and all you readers , I bought and used the mod duo X since a year now… The only thing i find missing is the possibility to assign a knob to multiple parameters, to make a superknob or to for example change a parameter on two mono filters (Left and Right channel) with one knob.. I know there is a way around for cv controlled modules. But it schould be possible for non cv controlled (via midi or device) modules… What could be the problem to accomplish that in an update?

I have a dwarf – how did you get the looper to trigger perfectly with the sequencers?

Did you ever get to do any tutorials on the mod platform Ben? I've owned a mod dwarf for half a year and still can't dive deep into it as I have with Zoia. For example, I get annoyed whenever i try to play drums with it, and I see a lot of "drums" devices on their pedalstore but they either have lame sounds or I don't understand them. If you ever did any tutorials on mod I'd def watch that, prob even pay for it if need be.

can you have all digital delay, ping pong delay and reverb for house and techno sets? also can the outputs work as separate stereo out? so you can use both send and returns on a xone 96 mixer?

The MOD stuff is cool. It’s not revolutionary in what it does but it is revolutionary for supporting plugins. If it would also support VST3 I’d probably jump aboard the MOD ship.

I wish the DuoX had four outputs instead of two, so I could use it as a stereo effect unit and a stereo synth. It seems to be a great device, though.

i'm still getting caught up here. ya see, i hate digital to a degree that i avoid it when there is a viable analog alternative. a suitcase like this changes the intercourse out of alot of stuff, and probably makes the industry rather anxious . sure puts a skance on loopism i had only fantasized. i applaud the developers of these ideas, and i wish them luck. i offer my support in the form of my patronage. put it out there. pEACE, fAnG

The 5g as COVID joke sure didn't age well post-Nashville. Yikes.
…tbh it wasnt funny at the time either. Weird thing to attach to this product review. I'd be p.o.'ed if I was this manufacturer.

I'm retiring from being a wanna be Prog rock/metal guy and find you music (listened separately) and this way of creating music interesting and sorta pulling at me. Makes me wanna try some different things without even knowing what different is…I've been looking at the Poly Beebo pretty hard…maybe I start there. I found you by looking into reverb pedals because I am obsessed with them. Sans chemicals, I am much more cogent but alas, not this day. Cheers, buddy.

Being that I'm exclusively a guitar player (with a pretty robust knowledge about guitar related gear), I understood a full 9 seconds of this video. Shit be magic. Make it go. Make us strong.

Though this thing is deffinitley stronger that I expected, I'm always disappointed by the IO on these units. So many series effects, but why not parallel audio streams?
I'm still waiting for the 4+ audio in/out units to make these thing more worth the space on my desk.

Great video, I would be interested on your thoughts on getting a Mod Duo X vs a Poly Digit/Beebo for use with synths 🙂

Every time an "effect box" that's a bit more out of the box is reviewed by someone I enjoy and trust, my heart always slightly drops. The inevitable question of "am I too late with my prototype" always comes up. Thankfully, the last twentysomething times I always exhaled a sigh of relief. I wonder how long until I won't…
That being said, very interesting stuff, thanks for bringing it to attention 🙂

Great video! I am bit confused on what you meant about the Mod duo. Is it more powerful than the x? I though the X is the more advanced version?

I was just about to pull the trigger on a Poly Effects Digit/Bebo – when I noticed this video recommended. Evidently, the Mod Duo X is far more powerful – but it would be useful to see a direct comparison. Better still, perhaps, a comparison between Digit/Bebo and the Mod Duo Dwarf, when that's available for review…?

what are the biggest differences between the mod duo other that no stomp/more dials? different comp specs? also how many of the FX chains in the library are pay to play compared to free?
