There is war in Iraq? Again? And the US and Iran are talking about working together? And who is this ISIS Terrorist group that is all over the news? And Religion? Oh dear… When exactly has the world gone mad again?
It is not possible to explain a complicated topic like this without simplification. We are very aware that this video is not painting a full picture of the situation. But we hope that it may lay the foundation on which you can try to do your own research and understand how horribly Fu**ed up the whole situation is.
We did have to produce the video super fast — thanks a lot to our friends Martin Wackerbauer and Magnus Schlüter for helping us out — we would not have been able to make this video in time without you guys!
Kurzgesagt loves all people as long as they don’t hurt others and don’t hinder mankind on its quest to the stars. So it was very sad to read so much terrible stuff about the situation in Iraq. Hopefully it will get better.

my man there was no mass destruction weapons and everyone knew it even un went and checked there was no weapons but us went and invaded anyways bc it needs to destabilize middle east for israel later on and iraq did not did 9/11 as we can see on videos it was insider us did it to itself to justify its mass killings in middle east first learn properly without bias and then tell people what happened

Умалчивается, что предлог вторжения США в Ирак был лживым и незаконным. Это была ничем не спровоцированная агрессия. Как США могут это оправдывать? Хусейн был плохим? Окей. Я думаю, что Трамп плохой – давайте начнём войну против США и убьём 2 млн человек ради этого, как сделали США.
Далее президента Сирии огульно объявляют плохим диктатором, да ещё и иконку химического оружия пририсовали. Это глупость и пропаганда. Сирия не применяла химическое оружие против своих граждан, хотя западной пропаганде очень хотелось, чтобы это было так. Химическое оружие Сирии было уничтожено при участии международных контролёров, в том числе участие в уничтожении химического оружия принимали и США. Так откуда бы оно взялось, если было уничтожено? И так новое ложное оправдание вторжения США в очередную страну. Особенно лицемерие США проявляется, когда американская армия ограничила вторжение только теми районами, в которых есть нефть. То есть на народ Сирии было наплевать и всё равно – нужно было захватить только нефть. И в итоге американцы воруют сирийскую нефть до сих пор, хотя вроде бы плохой диктатор Асад уже свергнут, а у власти находится якобы демократическая оппозиция. То, что эта оппозиция проводит этнические чистки, никого не волнуют, пока они не захотят вернуть себе сирийскую нефть.
Обвинять иракское правительство в коррупции и диктатуре? Эй, разве не вы сами это правительство создали и воспитали? Так может быть это сами американцы привержены коррупции и диктатуре?
Ничего не сказано про кровавый штурм Мосула американцами. Ничего не сказано про то, что это была пиар-акция, которую у военных требовали политики на фоне успехов России с её борьбой против ИГил в Сирии. При этом при штурме Мосула применялась тактика ковровых бомбардировок, не была проведена эвакуация населения, американские солдаты убивали всех без разбора и террористов и мирных жителей.
Может быть хватит этой извращённой пропаганды и оправдания американской агрессии и неоколониализма?

Iraq was messed by US after 9/11 even there are no prove that Iraq support the WTC attack. Weapon of mass destruction then fabricated as the reason for US & UK to invade Iraq. Its about middle east oil & geo-politic. Many people know this fact after years too late. 😢 Sad

0:32 not quite right, in the time there were just not an official sunni power in iraq most of small groups where either against someone or against something not They do not call for a state or an institution. the sunni group's that has the power where just not trying for peace they just wanted piece of the cake so until the modern government rise by support from shia and some sunni and Kurdish, they where had some conflict with sunni groups, and they where not today isis, they had some connections with Muslims brotherhood but they weren't like 2014 movements

I am Iraqi and I say that the video contains a very large number of mistakes and is mostly biased towards showing a Western narrative that Iraq was invaded for oil.

ِAs an Iraqi living 20+ yrs in Iraq I'm wondering ,what was the reason to tell misleading info about Muslims(Sunnis/Shias) and Iraq, all terrorism after 2003 was related to U.S. and western european countries invading Iraq, stealing it's legitimate wealth, spreading destruction, and then handling over it's power on a golden platter to Iran.

You forgot to mention that ISIS entered from the Sunni side because the tribal sheikhs in this region cooperated with them and allowed them to enter Iraqi territory with the aim of overthrowing the government from the hands of the (Shiites).But the response was very strong from the Iraqi authority (Sayyid Ali al-Sistani when he issued a fatwa for national defense)Most of those who responded to the call of the Sayyed were from the center and the south (the Shiites). Liberate the western and northern regions, It is not even their land What brave men, may God have mercy on their souls
