I remember renting this game from blockbuster in like 2002/03 in high school and was enamored by it's visceral and graphic themes. Felt like a huge risk for Rockstar to to take after the gta3 controversy and I respected it. I stayed up till 3 am all weekend playing this at a friend's place on my PS2.
my babysitter use to make me watch nightmare on elm Street, the entire series.exorcist, hellraiser and many other bad movies she said Freddy was A REAL KILLER hellraiser too and would get me if I told anyone she made me watch those movies. she stole the chz from the " Mac n chz" lunch she made. we never ate just fed it to her dogs.
I forgot there even was a Manhunt 2. I don't remember anything about that one. I love this original game, though. Bought it on Steam not too long ago and beat it just for nostalgia

You cant run ManHunt in a virtual machine??? What?? Why??? Did you ever figure it out??? Now I wanna know… this is a personal favorite game of mine, and I swear no one else played it. Remember when ManHunt2 was released and banned from being released in the USA for being TOO violent? At the time it was only released in England. I am looking for a playable full-length version of 2. I remember when this game was under serious scrutiny and was compared to GTA because both are made by Rockstar, and GTA is known for influencing and teaching people how to commit crimes and get away with them. They were concerned that the wrong person would get ahold of it, and learn how to murder people without consequence. It was a HUGE controversy.
For some reason I have the mandela effect when it comes to this game. I beat the disk version and later bought the download & could've sworn the download was missing a few things 🤔🤔
I loved manhunt. Deep story and symbalism, rough estethics, good gameplay and some of the good ol' ultraviolence. Unfortunately it was banned straight away here in europe

Saw the guy in the chat that said manhunt 2 is banned in the UK…it isn't, ive got a psp copy & PlayStation 2 copy. Pretty sure CEX sells them still.
