Private equity has/is ruined the aftermarket auto and 4wd part industry also. The equities gobble up the manufacturers and then don't make any parts, then they file bankruptcy. Happened to a friend of mine where the Equity had been purchasing quite a few manufacturing companies then Bankrupted the portfolio for just under a BILLION dollars. They ruined about 15 of my vendors. A HUGE problem now is that they are now trying to gobble up Hospitals and Medical Centers

Sounds like there isn't enough competition. So how do increase competition? If the ideal fire truck for the user is one that is self-dianosable and repairable, we need to have our representatives create laws that ensure that happents. So, why are they not doing that?

If Private Equity was designed to usurp antitrust laws, can their assets not be nationalized, sold off to competitors, and offset the national debt? It would certainly make day traders use more discernment with future investments. . . . .

Legislators wont stop them. Money being passed under the table. The same legislatures own stock in those private equity firms.
