Creativity seems like an almost impossible topic of Consciousness to deal with. But I believe that given some Logical Thinking we will be able to explore Creativity. With the Perspective of the Inter Mind Model (IMM), we can ask the question: Is Creativity a process in the Conscious Mind (CM) or is it simply Neural Activity of the right kind in the Physical Mind (PM)?

Music can be very Creative, but Music can also not be very Creative. Listening to Random Noise or Random Tones can be interesting for a short period time. However, Random Noise and Tones are not very Creative and are not really even Music. I think that Enjoyment is very important when it comes to Artistic Creations. Much Music is written, but the Music that is truly Creative and Original has a Special Essence. People Enjoy it. I think it is clear that the appreciation of that Special Essence of the Music needs to take place in a CM. Scientists can study and measure all the Neural Activity related to this, and still know nothing about the Enjoyment of the Conscious Experience of the Music. The IMM Logically compels us to understand that Music is for the CM and not for the PM.

Claims about Computers creatively writing Music are misleading. Let us explore the Creative Process for Human Music and for Computer Music. The Human composer will get Inspired by a particular line of Musical Notes while Hearing them in the CM. The Human composer might play these Notes on a Piano, Guitar, or other instrument to get a more robust Auditory Experience than what is in the Imagination of the CM. The Human composer will develop a Desire to write the Music. The Human composer is constantly Hearing the Notes at the CM level in order to write the Music. This is because the Human composer instinctively knows the Music is being composed for the Enjoyment of a CM.

Computer Music is not produced this way. Computer Music is generated by Algorithms, Rules, and Random Note generators. The Computer is not Hearing, as a Conscious Experience, any of the Music that is being generated because a Computer has no Connection to a CM. A Computer does not have an Imagination. The Computer program is trying to generate Music for the Enjoyment of a CM without being able to Experience it as a CM. It cannot Hear what it is Generating. The Computer cannot Enjoy the Music and it can never Listen to the Music like a CM would be able to do. The Computer does not Desire to write Music and it does not even know that it generated Music. It's all Algorithmic and Mechanistic. It is obvious that a Computer is unable to write Music for a CM, and there is no way to Program that ability into the Computer with Software. It can only be concluded that a Computer cannot Creatively Write Music, but rather it Generates or Calculates the Music.

When it is realized that a Computer is merely Calculating Music, it becomes completely understandable that there is no Creativity involved. But the Human Brain also cannot be Creative, because the Human Brain is a Physical thing, and Creativity happens as a Conscious Experience in a CM. This statement must still apply even if you Believe that Consciousness "Is In The Neurons" or "Emerges From The Neurons", because there has got to be some implementation of the functionality of Consciousness, somewhere, somehow.

Only got one wrong. Its the vocals. They vocals for the ai tracks sound weird. Of course, if you asked for it to write the lyrics in some language i don’t understand, i’d fail at this.

I’ll tell you this much. No computer will ever replace Justin Hawkins. You can emulate his wit but it’s just a facsimile and no one has his unique mind that we all love.

Justin, I asked ChatGPT why you are awesome. Below is its response:

As an AI language model, I cannot have opinions or biases towards individuals. However, I can provide some objective information about Justin Hawkins.

Justin Hawkins is a musician and songwriter from England, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band The Darkness. He is known for his high-pitched vocals, flamboyant stage presence, and often outrageous costumes.

The Darkness achieved international success in the early 2000s with their debut album "Permission to Land," which included hit singles like "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and "Love Is Only a Feeling." Since then, the band has released several more albums and has maintained a dedicated fan base.

In addition to his work with The Darkness, Justin Hawkins has also pursued other musical projects and collaborations, including the band Hot Leg and a solo album.

Whether someone considers Justin Hawkins to be "awesome" is subjective and depends on personal taste and opinions. However, it is undeniable that he has made a significant impact on the rock music scene and has many fans who appreciate his unique style and talent.

Fuck AI. I could give a shit. May I suggest an interview with your brother? When I was on Myspace almost 20 years ago (remember Myspace?) I had friended your brother. At that time you took a slight detour into something else and I'm thinking WTF is this guy thinking? So I wrote on Dan's wall, "He'll be back …" And sure enough I was right. I call Dan "The Quiet One" .
I would like to explore your relationship as brothers and musicians in terms of writing music and playing guitar and playing in a band and what his thoughts are because I have no idea lol.
    Good idea?

    So, this is super interesting.
I heard some AI generated music by an artist called "Violet Cold" the song "Noir Kid".
It has a huge mixture of genres, from bands like Envy (Japanese melodic screamo) to grimes (soft pixie vocals) to happy hardcore/bit core/scooter dance music. Basically it's a roller-coaster of a track.

If you were to do another video about AI music, this would probably be a decent one to analyse.

Your content is great and really interesting. Thanks for your time.

"Not the best of our humans, but some humans" 😀 😀 😀

I actually think I went 80% on that (the grunge one, the snare was too off-beat to be either a deliberate off-beat or just sloppy), but proud of myself 😉

So shitty, formulaic music AI can do…but still not country.

I used the ChatGPT to write me a 40th Anniversary episode of The Young Ones with the guys in their 60s, and during Covid in 2021 lockdown, with Matt Hancock turns up, and he ends up naked and runs off a cliff.
The Stone Roses turn up and play a funky dance version of Ace Of Spades…
Rik is very funny and rude to Matt Hancock and wriites a sarcastic poem about him…
I tapped that in the prompt (approximately) and got a nice outline of a Modern Young Ones episode ..and then I aasked it to continue the episode adding and refining various bits an pieces ..

    Quite mad stuff

Justin I really want to apologise to you for the sh@#$y comments I made on your last video on the RHCP, I only ever heard two darkness songs and had never given your albums a listen so had no right to make such horrible remarks when knowing nothing about your work, I scinsearly apologise, I used to go to lowerstoft every summer holidays as my aunt lived there (spachett rd) it's close to Gt Yarmouth and we used to visit pleasure wood hills it was great, I got hit in the face with a golf club by my cousin here, not much pleasure that day, anyway I was thinking about what you was saying about side hustles and was thinking you could also do a range of luggage, suitcases (guitar?) And you could call the range " Justin Case " carry on with the awesome videos mate you give us music fans brilliant content and analysis and I'm truly sorry for my disparaging remarks about The Darkness, please forgive me.
    Love n light brother
    Ant.
P:s when you mentioned the fictitious band name "dumpys rusty nuts" it conjured up images in my overactive imagination of an obese ginger guy who had soiled his pants at a concert ruining the experience of said concert by those in his immediate vacinity.

    Comment day question:

Fell down a hole with you good sir, stumbled onto your video talking about Noel Gallagher’s easy now review. Loved the video. It recommended your take on the charismatic gal review of your voice. I then realized who you were. Apologies. (Yes I’m Canadian) so deep dives on your channel (hit like and subscribe, watch one of the two videos at the end cheers,) deep dive still happening on your music. Refreshing to my ears. One of your previous comment video talked about school of rock using a song of yours. Not to open a can of worms, but… if it was a small movie made by a fan of your music etc… would you make a cheaper deal or tell your publisher to cut them a deal with the use of a song or is it a set price? Does it depend on the song? Apologize (still Canadian) if this is a retread of a question. Actually just realizing this is rather long and wordy (apologies again) comment… I don’t know how to end this…. Ummm… hope to see you in Canada at some point. Cheer,

Edited bit: Ok I admit… that was too wordy. I sat with it and was like nope… he’s not going to read all that. So Noel’s live version of Help! (My favourite beatle tune) the slowed down hard strumming guitar. Why is no one talking about this more? It is so good. Coincidentally this holds the distinction of the last new song my mom ever heard before she passed and thought it was amazing. Thoughts? Cheers again. Also sorry. Again.

Love your videos Justin!!! I am a 50 year old metal and hard rock fan. Always thought you guys were severely underrated in the industry of rock music. Love what you do and really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions on the music you review here. Keep up the good work!!

Hey man, thanks a lot for having such a catchy theme song. All day long I was singing to myself over and over in my head, “Juuuuustin hawkins rides again”. I had to listen to Abba’s Dancing Queen for an hour straight just to get your theme song out of my head. 😁
