Buzzwords
BUZZWORDS:
Cuck – short for cuckservative, from the word “cuckold”. kind of like a white version of an uncle tom. used against white men who believe in feminism and white privilege
Regressive Left – counter to the term “progressive”. an idea that liberals are becoming tolerant of bad ideas in order to be politically correct
virtue signaling – the idea that people say things to appear righteous or smart, not because they actually believe it
social justice warrior – general term for people who engage in SJ topics. often used to describe people who get offended easily
friend zone – used to describe a state of unrequited affection towards a woman. often used in an accusatory way
feminazi – a radcial feminist, but sometimes used to describe all feminists
AFC/Beta – average frustrated chump. a man who should be getting sex and romance but doesn’t (because of feminism, often)
bluepill/redpill – The Matrix analogy. bluepills people that are “plugged in” to the narrative of gender equality. redpills are “awake” and understand the flaws in feminist thinking.
egalitarian – worldview that all people are equal and should be treated as such. often used as a counter to feminism, saying that feminism is not needed
NAWALT/NAFALT – Not All Women (Feminists) Are Like That. Mens groups use this term as a tongue in cheek way to dismiss the women who make this argument.
.
neckbeard – general term for socially inept men, now used often to describe anti-feminist men
tone-policing – basically the idea that arguments would go over better if they aren’t presented angrily. people are accused of tone-policing often when they point out that someone is being combative
problematic – very broad term to describe anything that seems to be socially unjust
dudebro – term to describe “macho guys” who believe in male superiority
privilege – the idea that some groups have inherent advantages in society. people are often told to “check their privilege” when they make arguments
trigger – something, usually an idea or piece of media that causes offense or discomfort, or prompts a ptsd response. people with triggers often request “trigger warnings”
internalized misogyny – the idea that some women propogate sexism by enforcing sexist attitudes towards themselves and other women. often used against women with traditional gender values.
appropriation – a person adopting styles/behaviors/fashion/etc of a group that they are not a part of. this is considered “problematic” by some

Buzzwords are still subjective and its more of a spectrum. some words are buzzwordier than others .
its more that Words eat other words up and become bigger than others. it's like fishes eating other fishes in the survival of the fittest , or lets say with words in how popular they become.
Its like language centralizes and gets verbally monopolized on the internet. The diversity of words that can be used socially
dies out online. Words aren't the problem, the buzzwordery of words is.
Since i was small i felt Language is so tyrannical and make me cannot communicate what i want specifically so I rather want to visually communicate.
It's oppressive and the best way to fight that is to refuse getting pressured to use these words.
The best way to fight buzzwordery is to keep use the small original words until overused terms will shrink back to their original meaning. But people have to analyze how buzzworded terms are compared to the other to tackle this .
If you cannot measure what a buzzword is or not or lump all words labeling them as buzzwords you are simply doing what buzzwords did.

But words such as neckbeard and feminazi are descriptive words whereas sustainability mean nothing unless in context. And I would describe myself as a conservative with a small "c"

The term that annoys me the most is 'triggered/ trigger warning' that term was originally meant to be helpful to those dealing with issues including PTSD and eating disorders and the right finds it hilarious that the left would want to do this. It's some big joke to them that people dealing with serious mental issues would not want to view content that would trigger an unhealthy mental reaction.

I do wish that feminazi was defined better, because we have so many of them today.

This is what I have been saying for sometime now. This is yellow journalism. Where the headlines are sensationalized. It always was intended for division purposes. Now we speak to each other in these ways. So much confusion.

What's wrong with "Best Practices"?

omg. people just slapping down buzzwords left and right on the internet. I've started to try to just replace buzzwords with their definition when I talk to people, to use the same idea but avoid the connotation. Plus, if the definition doesn't work very well in place of that buzzword, then I can check myself to make sure I'm not misusing it.

2 questions.
Are there any anti feminist youtubers that you watch on a regular basis
and are there any you would have a debate with.
Every time I've heard you make a case for topics like rape culture, you've been very rational and reasonable about it
and even though I often find myself opposing modern "third wave" (not using buzzwords is rather hard really) feminists, I love the heck out of your channel.

Oh and the dumbing down of math for advertising. Like the phrase 10 times fewer. How can that make any sense at all. Is it one tenth. If so then say it.

I personally hate the phrase ( I know, Right ). What the hell is that supposed to mean. Maybe it's because i'm just to old. Lol

I have to admit that I'm kind of bothered by certain aspects related to "cultural appropriation" (not sure why it's a problem for a white person to have dreadlocks, for example) and "ableism"(as in when someone uses the word dumb or stupid). That's where the social justice warrior-ing kind of loses me. Also sick of "strawman" and "ad hominem" mainly because I haven't been able to keep their meanings all straight (gotta consult google every time someone uses that in discussion, so I feel like it wastes time, which may be its intent anyway).

You forgot the buzzword "political correctness".

I dislike the use of buzzwords and have worked out a method of making sure I do not use them. When I think I might be using a buzzword, I mentally insert the entire definition of that word. If the sentence still works, though extra long, then the word works in context and is not a buzzword. If it needs some stretching to work or does not work at all, then it is a buzzword and I have to rethink what I am actually trying to say.
