Why Is Matty Healy Such A Pain In The A**?!

Justin Hawkins Rides Again | October 7, 2025

Today I’m happy to be reporting on the return of the rockstar feud. However, I want to talk about why I think characters like Matty Healy and Yungblud are important for our culture, even if some of you may find either of them insufferable. Let me know how you feel about “feuds” and if you think the Trickster energy is important for culture, to challenge each other and keep us on our toes. Or do you just flat out hate anything like this? Do tell.

I think him saying Oasis should get back together isn't that deep. Ordinary folk have been saying it for years over coffee or beer or whatever. It's just chit-chat. I loved Liam's response to it . Healy is insufferable, but he is providing a little drama/comedy for us, much like a clown at a child's birthday party.

I lost interest in white priviliged men playing in rock bands. Yungblud seems more genuine though. At first I didn't understand why people hate Matty Healy, but after awhile I know. He is a hypocrite. I am also not amazed by guys who are rock stars, they have nothing to say. Stop glorifying rock stars, they were never gods or geniuses. What would they challenge each other about? I'm sure Chappell Roan challenged people more.

I wouldn't waste my time watching either of these idiots dissing each other. They are mentally immature men with nothing better to do but what makes me laugh is that they think that anyone watches their protestations towards each other.
No, I don't think he's being courageous, nor do I think it's tricksterism, i think he's an ego maniac who thinks we give a crap about what he says…which we don't .

In the US, we need a Matty Healy. We need a brilliant, brave spokesperson. We are drowned out by the hatred and fear that Trump espouses, and far too many are afraid to combat the propaganda. I adore Matty Healy, and can only imagine how important he and Taylor could have been in fighting back against the nonsense that is destroying humanity.

They would have been far better together, but the ‘machine’ tore them apart. #the1975 #trumanblack #taylorswift #mattyhealy

yungblud is a poser and always will be BUT calling matty healy a rockstar is the funniest thing in this video. i used to be a fan of the 1975 but they were, and always will be, a pop band. I really dont care how many times they say they're not one in the begining of their music videos 😂

You can't say that The 1975's music is more rock than YUNGBLUD's when their music is far more chill and had definite 80's pop synth components! YUNGBLUD is certainly more "punk" than Matty Healy! Just even in their lyrics alone. I've net YUNGBLUD and seen many interviews of both men and YUNGBLUD comes across as a non pompous genuine guy who cares while Matty comes across as pompous and bloated in his interviews.
