Given most houses have windows, I question their security. It's just that most petty thieves are dumb and will cut themselves up trying to get in. I had a house mate who had golf clubs and a great big mat on the porch. I pointed out that if anyone wanted in: the golf clubs will break and clear the glass and then they can use that mat to climb over the shards, so put the clubs inside. It's like leaving bolt cutters next to a padlocked warehouse or container. He shrugged it off thinking I'm paranoid but how hard is it to put clubs inside?
