Wonder if you could do Kat Deluna-Whine Up in the future.
I feel like you haven't done a dancehall/reggae ohw ever (don't know if Snow counts but I mostly see him being label as rap).

Jamie Foxx kinda definitely really did have a music career so there's that. You've GOT to be kidding me about that.

Whoa, buddy I.L.C. was a great Show one of the Top 5 of its airing. & Jamie Foxx has an amazing Voice and has had a few hits as a Singer. Blame it(on the alcohol) is a jam for sure, he also featured on Multiple artists songs most notable Gold Digger by Kanye.

My answer to the question of whether female performed sexual songs are empowering or exploitative is always: who cares? Even if it is self-objectifying, it's better than bitches aint shit or pretty much anything else any male artist has said about women. An argument can be made for empowerment, but i frankly dont think women have to prioritize empowerment in every action we do. Similarly to there being no ethical consumption under capitalism, i think there is no empowering display of female sexuality under a patriarchy and so we should just say fuck it and have fun

I distinctly remember 3 white teen girls in folded boxer shorts doing a choreographed dance to this song at the MTv Beach House. When the hump sound would play, they'd each lift one leg and do the raunchiest bent-leg thrust. It's burned into my then 8th grade mind forever. I wonder where they are now..?

There's almost a weird sprt of classiness to this song, like its obvious what shes singing about, but she doesnt sound crass. Its almost like its what shed whisper to a guy she likes on the dance floor whereas the other songs are just unfiltered horny thoughts, whch are often a but much

I enjoyed this episode SO MUCH. This track and music video pulls me back in time to some HOT memories of seeing it on TV in the late 90s. Adina's definitely smooth here, laying it out, and being really cool about getting it on. It's a chill, sexy, but SIZZLIN' track, which makes sense when you hear it.

Too many (black) pop cultural discrepancies in this for me because I was a young adult then also that pits me in the same age group as Adina…

You're right that a majority of modern songs about sex do NOT sound sexy or enjoyable. People should take notes from this, this sounds like a good time !

The Humping song from Adina sounds like a cover of a Gap Band song.

October 3, 2025 at 4:59 pm
I guess it's all in the hair and makeup, but Adina somehow looked both really young and a lot older in the same music video.

its interesting thinking about an era where songs like this were considered raunchy because we now live in a world of wap and slut pop. we could probably do with more laid back sex jams tbh.
