Very recently the liberal party candidate Carney won it was seen as a federal and national rebuke of Trump by many.

May God bless you, protect you and your family. I don't trust the government of usa. I live in California for about 16 years, my parents immigrated to the states with me, I was
4 1/2. The 1950's was a horrible place to be, non whites impossible to vote, yet they paid their taxes like the whites, segregation, separate neighborhoods according to your "race" (there aren't several humans races) ethical differences yes races NO WAY, we lived in an all white neighborhood, our friends from different ethnic groups couldn't be welcomed by the white neighbors, my parents always had trouble with the stinking little whites because of their friends. My parents sent me back to Switzerland at 19 years old, I've never wanted to go back there. All the wars during my life done by the usa has left me with a bitter taste.

We wake up to trump sending masked and armed federal agents into yet another American city… the scary freaking part is it's happening so often that, I'm ashamed to say, it's becoming normalized. It's really hard to continue to focus on one particular crime he commits day after day. Dealing with Trump and all of his sycophants is like constantly being in a tornado like whirlwind of chaos from the time you open your eyes until you are so exhausted by it all that you just want to go to sleep to get a break from it. I consider myself to be socially and politically conscious but there's just so damn much thrown at you hour after hour that you can't keep up with it all… and if he hasn't done or said something that makes your head spin, he'll create a crisis or some scenario to scare or anger his base to cause more divisiveness among us.
I honestly can't stand JD smoky eye Vance, in fact I'm a little scared of the damage to our country that he has in store for us, but damn I wish trump's cankles would go ahead and explode or whatever will shut that decrepit mind and body down.

One of the many aspects of Josh Johnson’s genius is that he does his homework on the local culture and politics and works it into his routine. So many comedians give the same show without any reference to the city/town they’re in beyond naming it in their greeting at the start and their “thank you” at the end. And how many Americans in general bother to learn anything about Canadian politics and culture.
PS: as a hockey dad, I find Josh’s take on the sport dead-on. (All of his takes are dead-on.)

yeah. canadian war history is absolutely crazy. like if you give us a reason to fight in a war, you will be seeing some of the craziest shit ever. there's a reason why the geneva conventions exist, and it was partly because of how we act in war and how we treated POWs in WWI. like we literally used to throw our own rations of food over to the germans in WWI when they were starving, and they'd be happy for the supposed mercy and beg for more, and then we'd throw over grenades when they were expecting food. there were also many cases where the british and germans would do unofficial truces during battles for whatever reason, but canadian soldiers would just be out there taking pot shots at any germans that tried to leave the trenches for things like medical aid and food. canadians in war are basically like.. cross our lines and we'll cross them back at you but worse
