10:58 American Eugenicists, totally didn’t rebrand their eugenics views, as “healthcare”. And that healthcare predominantly focuses on black and brown communities, but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.

something i also hate, is when they film personal/or like family events, like Christmas, thanksgiving…ect. Filming and being on camera for just the whole christmas day is wrong. Just enjoy your christmas with your family. Not your camera.

My son has mentioned a few times that ge wants to make youtube videos. I understand the why. They look fun, he watches kids have fun with their parents who's work is to play with their kid. I ignore it because I want to avoid the dark side. I hope I am doing right by him.

Thailand not allowing any digital footprint of an adopted child for a year is the right decision. The only problem about is they should give children privacy for MUCH more than just a year.

I turned off when you announced a sponsor for a video about child A 😢… doesn’t seem much better than the channels themself to benefit from this stuff 😑

Theres a channel i watch shorts of sometimes (pleasentpeasentmedia) who has i think 3 kids, the oldest, abby, is around 18 now if I can remember correctly, and up until she was a teenager, who had a better grasp of what it meant to be on camera/in videos, she was not on any videos. They dont use the names of the little kids, and i really appreciate that fact. So many people dont think about it, but its awful to be out there. My mom doesnt take photos of me without telling me, and often its only sent to her friends who i have known most of my life. I love that shes taken some of these measures, and i appreciate seeing families do similar things to protect kids.

Not enough effort is put into keeping kids safe online, and i wish it were different.

I think the only family channel that is actually good is FunnelVision. from what I know, Vincent (Duddy) and Samantha (Moomy) don’t seem abusive, and the fact that they give their kids a good childhood, and I don’t think they shove cameras in their kids faces

I heard about a channel that gave their son an ig account when he was TEN DAYS OLD?! and then created a perfect doll replica of him FOUR DAYS LATER?! and sold over 300 of them

The oldest daughter from 8 passengers wrote a book recently, House of my Mother. It was amazing, really good look into how family channels and wellness influencing can go wrong

okay i’m a little late to this, but in my very very young years around months old-7 , EVERY mental breakdown i’ve ever had was recorded by my family. till this day the videos trigger me and i get very upset and mad easily . i cannot imagine how these kids feel

Even with GENUINE family channels, they’re STILL exploiting their kids to the camera! I get that they may mean well but safety precautions must be installed, I heard of a Reddit post about someone who belonged to a family channel but her family changed when the camera got involved, (❌If I remember the post correctly!❌)

I do not watch any content involving kids online posted by their parents. Children and their emotional, good or bad, development is not entertainment. My husband and I have a zero policy for posting any photos or videos of our kids online.

reminds me of a channel where couple one those "we're going live off grid" video where they talk about having a miss carriage and we and doctor dont know how it happened yet look at the video week before it "we went on a 40 mile hike in the desert" while the mother wore a 50lb hiking backpack

study shows couples doing channels have a high divorce rate if the channel fails so reality channel is just a band aid for a already dead marriage and family channels the kids are unfortunately caught in the crossfire, they see the kids like most people see pets props for a fake life style while behind scenes abuse is the reality.
