That ending reminds me of a pretty chilling true story that I learned from a friend about a “friend of a friend” that I always thought was fake growing up until like 15 years later when I was at a gathering with his family and the story came up and his mom was like, “ 6:34 oh, no… the serial killer kid was totally true!” and showed me the story on her phone! lol
Basically there was kid who started hurting animals, like he would trap his cat under a laundry basket and sit on top spraying it.. and then he got worse and worse and when he was like 13 he opted out and left a letter saying that he knew he was destined to be a bad person, and that he has impulses to hurt people, even people he loved.. that he thought about hurting his own sister and offing his mom over small arguments… not like “oh I hate my mom” like he literally planned everything out and got to the actual moment standing over her while she slept. He scared himself and decided he would rather die than hurt people and potentially ruin many lives by the time he was an adult or ever caught…
It’s a sad story now that I’m an adult because the kid clearly had issues but he wasn’t a true sociopath… he understood it was wrong and was capable of loving his family enough to die to protect them… he just needed help!
