What really disappoints me is that YouTube absolutely has the power to help solve a lot of lost media cases. Even an incredibly low bitrate version of a song can be quickly flagged as the original, for copyright purposes. If they had a way to upload a brief sample of audio for you to check against its entire database of videos, a reasonable amount of things could be solved quickly. But of course they're only going to use that technology maliciously to aggressively force copyright even when it doesn't apply.

Reminds me if how the carboard Arcee that was used to promote Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was stolen. And likely used for nefarious purposes. Let's hope this pin headed Spy Kids prop didn't suffer the same fate.

hey, does anyone know what the clown, circus-y song around the 5:00 mark's called?? I haven't heard it in forever, just remember having heard it while playing some pixelated circus game. thanks!

Honestly, to me, it looks like that particular cutout was mean to be on a display that had the main characters and the Floogies and this lil' guy was in that group but like in a small corner just to fill in space since they already had a model made out of it so they didn't want to waste it even though it was never made into a costume.

There is no way this thing is originally from spykids. How can anybody actually think that? Just because it shows up in a movie doesn't mean it is FROM that movie, and there is no way they would use some random toy that some kid is holding in a scene on their promo stuff. Also it just doesn't look like it is from spykids at all, it looks like Crazy frog. It doesn't look like claymation at all either.
Even if it was originally from spy kids what was the display it came from for? And why would such an insignificant toy be included. With a display that small it seems like something that would be on a register as an impulse buy display. It cpuld be part of a bigger peice but those usually don't attach eith peoces on the back, usually there are tabs on the sides of the smaller peices that slot into the larger peice. With the placement of the tears on the back it seems like it had its own stand that got torn off. I worked at a party store for a while and we used to sell cardboard cutouts, maybe I'm wrong but it just doesnt seem like a part of a bigger peice to me.

I fricken knew it. My first reaction when I saw it was “spy kids.” But then then it was ruled out, so I figured “meh – I have no idea then.”

TURNS OUT MY WEIRD GUT MILLENNIAL REACTION WAS RIGHT.

I know a lot of us just KNEW it was spy kids.

Spy kids seems to have a lot of interesting stuff behind the scenes of it. Like they had a big ol toyline with action figures planned but it never happened. I think prototypes exist though. It’s too bad. I’d love to own a figure of a thumb-thumb
