I listen to thousands of hours of listening to music but never heard of this band. Front man looks ridiculous. Listening to some of their music on Spotify as I'm typing this. Too bad about the antics.

Never heard of these guys. My favorite late show band memory was seeing Ryan Adams perform “Gimme Something Good” and then Dave had them do an encore of the song over the credits. Legendary. Can’t seem to find it on YouTube tho.

Lonely Islands were featured in the farewell montage on the final Letterman show. After 33yrs the showed had featured so many big names, and they were highlighted because this performance was so profound. I remember seeing it, and I just felt the emotion through my body.

Late night has tried due to their booking agents to get bands to pop. The difference is nobody watches this crap anymore. Notice the date of the band you’re referencing… right when streaming began to take over.
