I had a dollar tablet in the past and worked perfectly for years, no kidding. Yeah, well… I mean it sometimes it froze but that wasn't common at all.
I used it for gaming… Then I sold it and the person who purchased it contacted me like a year after that telling me how happy they were with it (they thought they were getting scammed xD) 🤣. So yeah, there are some hidden cheap gems out there xD.
