A child's brain does not fully develop till around the age of 23, so if they are abusing chemicals (substance abuse ) before that age it can lead to dependency, addiction, mental illness in laterlife … also looking at the past to present history of oppression in people i feel has been a major cause of heridatary mental illness because an individual has not been able to evolve naturally , spiritually individually because of history's use of using fear as means of a way to control them

I wanted to add something in relation to addiction treatment in Ireland, I'm not sure if its similar in America, most affordable/funded treatment centers in Ireland for people on low income are run by the catholic Church and a lot of people on low income don't take the treatment due to the actual religion being the basis of recovery, like going to mass every morning which they cant refuse ,the majority of these addicts in the past might have been abused by the church hense self medication and also they might not be Catholic and cant afford another treatment so there it is again its like for some people they either confirm or mabey lose there family or life its very sad 😔

I'm so sorry for ur losses lance it's very sad u had to go through that in ur family, im from Ireland and I found this video very insightful due to the fact that there is a high amount of addiction in Ireland too, including opioids which seems to be spreading rapidly over the last few years , my understanding of addiction in certain cultures was due to the fact of a history of oppression meaning not being aloud to evolve as a person spiritual y naturally and lovingly and the past to present the people in power who used fear as means of control lead to certain chemicals in the brain development of the oppressed unable to develop and evolve which has resulted in hereditary mental illiness Anxiety/depression and addiction. A lot of people become dependant due to self medication others from being sensitive to the inviroment also empathy so due to pharmaceutical companies prescribing pain killers with codeine to young children without telling the parents that it has codeine can trigger the future process of addiction in there brain chemistry, it's only the last few years they are telling individuals that these pain killers has an addictive substance in it. Also I've noticed every second child is being diagnosed with ADHD when infact they don't have that illiness at all I don't dispute that others kids do I just feel it's just another way of controlling a child cause it's illegal to hit a child now so medicate them to keep them in place as another form of hidden oppression to control, the majority of these kids are prescribed medication when there brain is not developed and then in Thier teens they are not dealing with natural emotions naturally further leading to addiction in later life ,not to mention theses pharmaceutical companies making money from these addicts…. These wealth driven doctors/pharmacy s had been giving out antibiotics /penicillin to people for the common cold and other bacterial illiness when they were not needed which in fact weakins the immune system and makes it harder to fight of other illiness naturally it kills the red and white blood cells the white blood cells are needed to fight infection so ur more likely to be run down and sick again after a few weeks so pharmaceutical companies are getting paid again , as you get older ur immunity is weaker from uneeded antibiotics and so now penicillin won't actually work when it's actually really needed , also people have become immune to the penicillin antibiotic so they have actually no alternative now for bacterial illiness because they were wealth driven and unprofessional… It's actually your limp nodes that filter first before the blood cells do and that's another delema because with the high radiation and pollution in the atmosphere it brings on early scarring of the lymphatic system that's why the covid virus was so extreme in all ages especially the elderly due to scarring of the lyph nodes from ageing ,I think mental illiness will always have that certain stigma which needs to change because if someone can understand that if someone has diabetes they have problems with there insulin levels u don't see them being scrutinized over diabetes so I think there is no difference between mental illiness or diabetes mental illiness is a chemical imbalance in the brain and it needs to be thought and talked more about in schools , thank u for this video ✨

Thank you so much for talking about it. It is so important for tribal leaders to address this serious issue. I hope it sparks change and causes a ripple effect in the community. We need to take better care of ourselves and our people.
