Like the iPhone, when the first one came out, everyone was blown away. Then with each iterative version, it doesn’t seem as mind blowing, just incremental improvement. But these incremental improvements add up.

Exactly what specific companies are pushing for this Robot shit to replace humans? Specific people need to be called out and be accountable. Presidents of companies. Name names!

I wish Apple would just pay someone else to use their AI. A ton of electricity is being wasted just so each company can train their own model, when to a point they're all interchangeable.
Just partner with Claude or something, save the effort and defer to the experts.
Edit: I hadn't made it there yet, the next story was Amazon doing exactly that.

AI that isn't AGI will be meddled with just with the example of Elon Musk, you could do that with Eugenics in education or anything which essentially is why we can not use AI in education until it is AGI and independent.

Woow Phi 3 that small and power… crazy.

Robots have no real reason to be expensive. Motors, sensors, processors—all the components are already cheap. Unlike cars, which rely on patents and specific models, robots are more like generic machines where you just assemble simple parts. The real intelligence comes from software, which keeps improving exponentially. A robot doesn’t even need an expensive onboard computer—it can run from the cloud or a mobile device. The trend is clear: we’re in the middle of an industrial revolution. If you understand this, you bet on the winners—computers, robots, electric motors, and automation. The future is coming fast, and it's going to be intense.

Apple just needs to fully incorporate ChatGPT, it’s clear that they too see that they are behind in this and if they become the first to sell phones that actually incorporate ChatGPT for real (as in, native unique system) then maybe they can gain a true advantage again. Also, they could have unique features from ChatGPT itself, small things like naming your assistant, improving emotional depth in voice chat and so on will go a long way. The main issue with voice modes right now is 1. Too robotic 2. Too restricted. If they can put billions in this they can absolutely get the best AI system by building on the best LLM that already exists.

On the Elon/Donald part. I think you kinda have to weight the scales a bit there because of how many citations you'd get from the far left on this. For over a decade now you've had an enormous media bias against anyone who disagrees with them. So nah, I'd say while its not perfect it is the better option to weight the scale against such claims.
