As many are pointing out in the comments, there's a lot of angles on this subject that were left out of this video. That's a fair point. I was trying to focus mostly on how the pandemic will end, not cover every piece of info about it. The vaccine process, all the various treatments, social implications, economic implications, those could all be their own videos, and many others have covered them specifically. Feel free to share other videos on those specific angles amongst yourselves.

Globally, COVID-19 vaccines proved instrumental in curbing the pandemic. Over 13.5 billion doses have been administered worldwide as of August 2024. These vaccines significantly slowed the spread, dramatically reducing severe illness, hospitalizations, and deaths. For instance, initial mRNA vaccines showed around 95% efficacy against symptomatic infection. Studies consistently demonstrated that vaccinated individuals were far less likely to experience severe COVID-19 or die, fundamentally altering the pandemic's trajectory and allowing societies to reopen.

It's wild to look back at how the U.S. fumbled the COVID-19 pandemic. At first, nobody seemed to agree on anything; health officials kept changing their minds about what was safe, and it just made everyone confused. Then, politicians got their hands on it, turning things like masks and vaccines into a political football.
This mess meant a lot of people just shrugged off the science, especially if they were caught in those misinformation bubbles. While folks who trusted the experts and got vaccinated generally did okay, those who didn't died at much higher rates. It's a sobering thought: over a million Americans died. And with the current mistrust in the government and the way public health organizations are being weakened, you have to wonder how much worse things could get the next time a big one hits. It really makes you question if we can count on them when it matters most.

Fast forward 4 years and this video didn't age well, he stated a lot of facts that turned out not to be facts at all. Enough for me to be done with this channel!

0:45 — "Which was nice because apparently I'm at that age where one of the things that makes me happiest is canceling plans. So that was March and none of us really knew at the time how long this was gonna last or how bad it was gonna to get and this was way before the mask thing and it was basically stay home you know, but then you know… we got used to it. We get used to curbside service at the restaurants plastic barriers and everything and zoom calls and talk show hosts hosting their shows from their living room and carboard cutouts filling the stands and stadiums. This is being called the new normal but I gotta be honest it still feels pretty surreal to me. Like I saw this ad the other day and I couldn't help but think that like six months ago if I had seen this it would have been the most bizarre thing and now my wife's birthday is coming up in a couple of months and we were talking about how she might not be able to do anything either or even go out to a restaurnant for that matter and we were talking about how like when we canceled my birthday she really didn't think hers would get cancelled too you know six months later."

So it's been almost 3 years…
And your guesses were mostly accurate.
You did underestimate stupidity a little, but not bad on the predictions overall.
Now the question is are you going to do a 5 year revisit when that comes around?

Watching this in 2023 is kind of wild. It's insane how much the world changed for covid and how we all went back to normal after that. I guess mask wearing and hand washing is voluntary yeah, but I'm not sure how many people really do that as much.

If you're reading this in 2020, don't worry. No one will talk about covid anymore in 2023. Also, sell your bitcoins. You're welcome.

My husband is alive today because of Hydroxy. He has an underlying lung condition and if it wasn’t for hydroxy with a Z pack he may not have made it. For those of us who don’t have underlying conditions you’ll be miserable when you get it like I was but you’ll be fine. Even with the scare we had from when my husband got Covid we will NEVER get the vaccine. And no, we’re not anti vaxxers. BTW masks do absolutely nothing
@coochikins
September 8, 2025 at 1:19 pm
You may have to revisit this topic. China’s vaccine is so useless they’re now asking us for vaccines. Their lock downs are so extreme that their cases are always going back up.
@21jimmyo
September 8, 2025 at 1:19 pm
Dec 2022 We're in the manageable surge stage. Cases go up and down, and deaths are mostly unvaccinated people and older people with pre-existing conditions. Yeah, and some people have gotten it a few times. The bad part moving forward is that some people have "Long Covid" and have been living with prolonged symptoms lasting months.

I’m watching this in Dec 2022. Covid numbers are going up, I’ve had five covid vaccines and I’m still living like a hermit and wearing a mask.

Current studies are pointing to herd immunity so is it really a thing anymore? There have been more lives destroyed than lives lost. I have reached a point that I don't trust what the government puts out because of all the conflicting information. And why were certain government employees exempt from the vaccination mandates? Ugh.
