An outstanding album, worthy of revisiting. Too bad that the bonus content is rather lacking. The John Peel Session have already been released on the excellent Robin Trower At The BBC 2CD in 2011. The song 'Take A Fast Train' appears on the Chrysalis 2 CD compilation 'A Tale Untold' (2010). So just 3 tracks (alternate mix and 2 rough mixes) is not doing justice to this deluxe edition set. Not to mention the lack of a proper booklet with background information. Could/should've been better!

Wow, amazing trivial insight that I never once knew about Trower and Tull’s Martin Barre. This is one of the reasons love watching your show. But in the past, I’ve been hard pressed to find a reasonable price on “ Twice Removed. “ Seems to always have a heavy import tag on it. However I will consider looking into it again.

Thank you so much for promoting my personal favourite guitarist. Have ordered this album on vinyl so hoping the sound quality will be an improvement (surely it will be) compared to the original release back in '73. Have met Robin a few times and he is a most understated gentleman. Robin's original vocalist and bassist James Dewer had a Paul Rogers type of tone and delivery…very underrated. Robin still records albums on a regular basis and his discography is worth investigating. Indeed may i suggest the albums Go My Way and What Lies Beneath for those who may want to discover his post 70s / 80s material.

In an album ranking of Trower albums, there’s almost a handful of releases aside from BOS that I’d put ahead of it .
I can think of 3 without even going back and evaluating.
That’s not to say it’s a bad album because it’s got some strong tracks on it, and there are live versions of 3 of those tracks where I actually prefer the live version. Certainly a “reasonable” effort when comparing debut offerings of many artists.

Wow, I didn't even know about this. Like the reader below it's been nearly 50 years since I first bought this fantastic album. Over the course of this and the next three studio albums – 'Bridge of Sighs', 'For Earth Below', 'Long Misty Days' – Trower quickly produced an impressive body of work in a very short time with a great little band. I've liked everything I've heard from him since…
