In 2013, Eric Loomis was pulled over by the police for driving a car that had been used in a shooting. A shooting, mind you, that he wasn’t involved in at all. After getting arrested and taken to court, he pleaded guilty to attempting to flee an officer and no contest to operating a vehicle without the owner’s permission. His crimes did not mandate prison time. Yet, he was given an 11-year sentence, with six of those years to be served behind bars and the remaining five under extended supervision.

Elon bought Twitter thinking it as many as 33% percent more human users . It turned out they were bots.
We are being tricked all of the time.

I think I remember that computers cannot give out more than is put in, so of course they are as flawed as humans are. Worse still, they lack real feelings, so it is impossible to reason with them. Their logic is based on the logic they are infected with. All they have to have happened is to be programmed with Mein Kampf instead of the Buddhist Sutras.

After over 20 years with a Hotmail email account, finally I get a strange message from Microsoft has locked me out of the most important email and I have done nothing except activate a Skype account that one friend still uses. As soon as I reactivated that crappy Skype, I lose my email account. I expect it is one of these Algorithms.

Something odd is happening in San Francisco. It has Chinese and Mexican Malice written all over it. The fetanyl pushers. They have apps and social tools they are using to harass and degrade. Marxist Algorithms are polluting America.

An algorithm was used to make me fall in love. It was used by a corporate grocery chain with union employees. It was a cruel and abusive algorithm using love songs and cctv cameras to alert the one I fell in love with. However, human interaction had to take place to make me believe. I seriously fell in love. I was certain it was mutual. No doubt about it. When I realized what was happening it was too late…I had fallen in love. Gross. Worse than gross. Burn it to the ground said the man in a bunny suit.

There will come a day when world government will be controlled by computers and algorithms will control those computers. It will be far more efficient and far more reliable, less biased, more just overall society, but all human focus will be on the cases that are obviously wrong. Then we . . . or it . . . will correct the algorithm to eliminate or take care of these unjust cases. The world will be far better off. But we will still complain about the machines . . . that we created . . . that we programmed . . . that we corrected.

The main problem with algorithms for me is on social media. The way they keep you hooked and activate your reward system is very ingenious. And with that, access to user data for advertisers comes as a gift given by algorithms

Leaving a comment to make the algorithm work against itself by promoting your video. I’ll leave it on loop in my office 😂 over night too. I use this video when I try to explain to people how to live “off script” I just send this instead.

The radicalizing effect of videos and the conformation bias caused by the algorithms is something I've been thinking a lot about lately and am so stoked that there are creators like you bringing awareness to this! We have so much information at our fingertips yet it's so easy to lose perspective

Its true though, the algorythm I think reacts much more to negative stuff so it shows you only negative stuff instead of focusing on the good things in people and the posetive impact we can have, I dont know why its allowed, and they have some sort of responsibility, since it can take away peoples talent and people who are talented by breaking them down, its a responsiblity they have, I have a bigger problem with it then AI even

There comes a time where these engineers need to ask themselves
"is it even possible to work out these bugs?,
or is it time to find a completely different tool that doesn't even have those consequences."

I watched people agree with 10 – 30 sec tik tok on life advice or relationship advice. With out even questioning it they accepted as their own answer neglecting their own thoughts. It's scary because you don't know these people or for what reason they posted it
Just agreeing because it's fun and witty. You can make anything fun and witty it all depends if it's for good or bad reason.. I dislike it out here and dislike the excuses people make to now justify their new found reason for hurting others.

I suspect that Facebook and other algorithms worsen personality disorders – they literally pick which messages you are more likely to see.
