    Currently studying dentistry more because my mom and dad are dentists than me actually liking my career, I´ve always found the human body/mind amazing and had a great interest in these kind of topics since I started watching you a few years ago, never really decided to actually go deep in this but after a year full of crisis because of not knowing what to do with my career, re discovering this interest has actually made me want to study and start reading about psychology.
    I´m going to be 19 next january and I do hope to start my psychology career by next august

    Omg this video couldn't have been recommended at a better time for me. I am a first year uni student studying philosophy, politics and economics. I thought it might make my passion of philosophy more employable (lol) but I'm realising I don't really care that much about politics on a personal level, beyond being an informed voter. I'm not optimistic about econ either. I had a mediocre experience with psych in high school and was discouraged by my parents, unlike with philosophy. But I am seriously considering changing to a double major in psych and phil, because psychology is what got me fascinated with philosophy in the first place, and like you, I'm much more fascinated by the individual mind than politics. Keep up the good work Sisyphus.

    I've been really interested in psychology, because of the topics it handles and how much it has helped me. Your videos are always super interesting. The sum of all these reasons helped me decide to finally start studying Psychology. Me and engineering just didn't quite match that well.

    Studied french lit in uni LOL french literature really do be philosophical.. I honestly don't retain much, but the videos you make do make me reflect on my path and I resonated with alot of the points you made c: thanks for these videos!

    I'm currently finishing my bachelors in policial science and sociology but like you I think I have more of an interest in psychology. Unfortunately it's not easy to switch majors where I'm from so if I was to pursue psychology I would have to basically start over and that's quite daunting, timely and expensive so I'm currently trying to figure out whether to make the switch or not

    Took Bachelor of Science in Psychology myself. It wasn't my first choice, but I have come to love it because of all the theories and social experiments that you study and make yourself. But I stopped pursuing it, not because I have come to hate it, but because I realized that the goal of psychology, or the institutionalisation and standardisation of it, is to manipulate people and remove free will from the individual. Psychology can be interpreted in so many ways, but that's just how I view it would eventually become.

    Same here. Did undergrad as a Philosophy and Econ majors. Was dissuaded by the lack of job openings in academia. A lot of universities were closing or cutting off philosophy as a major or full time postitions into adjunct. And since i knew a bunch of philosophy grad students that were teaching, it seemed that they were barely making ends meet and often had to think about traveling elsewhere for employment…. I took some time off and got the sense that i still wanted to teach, but since academia wasnt a sure thing, i am currently in grad school for childhood education and to my surprise philosophical issues come up all the time. A lot psychology. Sociology. Policy issues. Etc. i am happy with my choice but i always have this itch to pursue a phd in philosophy (my interest is philosophy of mind and the classics) so maybe later on after i pay off my grad school debt. Haha.
