Real History of Deadwood
Any time a highly respected historical drama comes along, whether on the big or small screen, be prepared for dozens of articles about all the things it got wrong. Uncovering those inconsistencies may be illuminating, but the relationship between history and its fictionalized depiction is a codependent one. Even with poetic license doing some heavy lifting, fiction often hews closer than expected to historical fact – or at least uses true events as a sturdy jumping-off point.

the series 'Deadwood' is a history of the US. it's the infant soul of capitalism and greed. it's actually a thinly veiled piece of sleight of hand to show where the roots of corruption in the US originated. Basically it is a documentary of how the corrupt political systems were born and flourished under the leadership of criminals. JP Morgan turns up as a psychopathic serial killer. it is a brutal expose of the underbelly

I was a background worker on Deadwood HBO. It was fun job, mostly filmed at night. Much of the film script was just an outline with the actors improving. The writer over used swear words and that kept it out off over the air TV the large amount of men was great group with many skill playing music and other fun skils,

If you feed someone to pigs there isn't going to be evidence of them being fed to pigs. That's the point of feeding them to pigs in the first place.

I never really cared about my where my ancestors came from until later on in life ! However I am a descendant of Al Swearingen ! This man is in my family tree !!
