As someone whose teenage daughter* is in a plastic bag inside of a mason jar WITH Glow-in-the-dark googly eyes… with her name in sparkly pink letters.
    I agree.

Also, some of those ashes are part of their clothing & the box they were cremated in.

    But everyone grieves differently.
I also wear some of her ashes in a jar around my neck.
Her oldest brother snorted some of her ashes just so ppl wouldn't be weird around him and understand that she would've hated ppl being scared to joke.

The snorting was a bit too far, but she did have a very morbid sense of humor. She wanted a death mask, but after the autopsy, they suggested against it.

*On July 5, 2018, our 15-year-old oldest fraternal twin daughter died from sudden cardiac arrest/death. According to the autopsy report, it was because of a very common genetic heart disorder, mitral valve prolapse. (Clean tox screen)
There have been other cases, but it is extremely rare, even in our own family where a good percentage has the same heart issue.
We don't think she knew she was dying, because she was lying on her bed, cross-legged, on her back with her face towards the wall. Not as if she were trying to get out of bed for help. Now that we look back, there were clues (like more frequent chest pains, a common mvp symptom, and shortness of breath, graying of her skin around her mouth in videos from the night before).

Again, this is very rare, but if you experience these symptoms, don't go to the ER, schedule an appointment with a Cardiologist asap. The ER will probably say it's just a panic attack and send u home.

I wish we had known more of the symptoms ahead of time, but even if she had collapsed in front of us, there would have been only a 50/50 chance she would have recovered even with CPR. She might have survived with a defibrillator, but it's not 100% either.

One race was not responsible for slavery. There were european whites, a CONSIDERABLE amount of jews, north african arabs, and other blacks. So state that's ignorant is to flat out have no concept of history outside of a specific lens of hatred.

Pinching the bag to make a funnel for the crumbs. It brought back some memories, but made me laugh at them now. Josh put into words every feeling that I had at the time. It's no wonder that I just adore him. All the flowers for you, Josh!

Friendly advice: NEVER feature late content in a video as a primary hook in the video intro and then make people wait nearly fifty minutes for one joke on the subject. That’s just awful. And if you DO put something so specific in the title of your video, make sure your content and presentation support the claim. One and a half minutes of jokes about Jillian does not warrant top recognition and introduction status.

As an usher at baseball games and everyone tried to get out of the rain, I’d stand a few rows before the concourse repeating, “Keep moving when you get there. Everyone behind you wants to stand there too!”

On an adjacent note, Josh, you should really watch fans going back to their seats after rain delays. They stand in front of their wet seats, toward the field, looking down, side to side, and in circles back toward the seats as if expecting paper towels to pop up. I could never keep from giggling and would tell people near me to watch! Why didn’t I dry their seats? I did but couldn’t get to everyone at the same time.

"If everyone saw themselves the way the people that love them do, what a beautiful world that would be." Would be right at home embroidered on some sweet southern meemaw's throw pillow. 🥰

Josh Johnson always gives me a massive hit of endorphins and I’m n the current climate I really need it. He has a wonderful mind and makes truly great observations of the plight of others in navigating today’s political and emotional minefields.

My mother’s urn had her ashes in a plastic bag that was closed shut. If the urn tipped over, the ashes wouldn’t have spilled. But not knowing that, your skit was hilarious. Or maybe some crematoriums are more conscientious.

The Goal was to build a life with someone with a husband, start with building something small like bat houses – I hate mosquitoes, and hopefully everyone would see that and be like look at them supporting bats and getting rid of bugs naturally, and maybe others would want to do that too.

Hardest working comedian on the circuit. This man doesn't slow down. Congratulations on your new regular gig on the Daily Show! No one deserves it more.

Unless other people have other experiences?? The ashes come in a thick sealed, waterproof plastic and since I picked a box it is pretty sealed up and locked inside. I used to watch TV where the ashes would just spill out if the urn got knocked. But then I realized it's not possible for that to happen. Unless someone decided to pick out their own urn and not with the funeral place and get the remains to put the ashes in their own urn?

When I was in my in my mid 40’s I had an extremely crumby husband. I was a size 2 and weighed 110 lbs of pure muscle, (I ruined my back and neck lifting extremely heavy weights), and my terrorist (now ex) husband was at least 85 lbs overweight. He told me “if you would just get out and walk, you could be perfect!” It still haunts me at 62 years old!
