Thank you for this wonderful documentary and for creating awareness about Ramanujan's life.
However, some topics could have been omitted. 1:40 The video speaks about the "Caste System" in ancient Hinduism, which is incorrect. The correct term is the "Varna System," and they are completely different.
In the Varna system, a person's classification is based on their 'gunas' (qualities and qualifications), making it flexible. Anyone could be a Brahmin or a Shudra based on their 'gunas'. When a guru was impressed by a student, they would even pass on their name to them, which meant the student was then known as a Brahmin. Brahmins were considered the most educationally qualified, and to control themselves and focus on education, they had to stay away from the materialistic world (e.g., money and precious ornaments).
On the other hand, the "Caste System" was introduced by the British. They couldn't understand the complexities and social fabric of Indian society, so they introduced a system that made things worse and easily tore apart the social fabric. It was one of their tricks to exploit and control society more effectively.

infinity is unseeable, unknowable and not appreciable totally. if it was some crazy coot somewhere would have done it some way by now. we need to remember that those who infer from without answers to questions do so at their own physical health risks. and that which can be infer from without is what some used to call the aether. which is also far too complex to comprehend. with such a state we may see better why AI is being so heavily pursued now.

sadly, R. Srinivasa didnt learn how to control his emotions well. he let the flow of things go on without control. when its overdone the body cannot keep up with the mind and therefore faces breakdowns. and in his case neither he nor anyone around him stopped to help him take control of things.

nature does a very odd thing. it picks a child and intensifies that child's mental capacity. which is a common thing. but occasionally it picks on one and intensifies that child's mind in manifolds. each of those children are then able to see and appreciate things that a regular child cannot. the exceptional ones however see things in very much higher scales.

As great as college can be, I never liked having to spend money taking courses you truly don’t need. He just wanted to do math and would have been a great asset to any math department. 7:48

There are 100s of formulae written down in a book kept at Cambridge university. They are all Ramanujans from
his deathbed. They are advanced far beyond any current mathematician can understand. The formula for the whole universe is in that book. There just isnt anyone genius enough to work it out.
