I felt her pain when my own mother passed away this year. You may feel sympathy but you never truly understand it until it happens to you😢

This is a hard hitting episode, particularly for those of us who have lost our dads.

I still think they should’ve had George die in season six and then spend season seven showing the family healing and coming back together before Sheldon leaves for Cal-Tech. Honestly, if I had never seen Big Bang Theory, and I had only seen Young Sheldon, this ending would’ve been completely baffling.

I havent yet started the last season. After having read all the comments here, I feel to postpone it and just go on with the Coopers family. I love the character of George. Great father, friend and a mentor. Is there any chance he can be back?

It really did hurt me, i began crying, not only because he was my favourite character, and reminded me that this will happen once to my dad too.😢

He is overweight so it's not surprising, fortunately in real life he didn't die.

Paradoxically, by choosing not to show George’s death on screen, the writers made the moment feel even more real and powerful. Throughout the series, even the most tragic events (like the tornado episode) maintain the classic sitcom tone, softened by humor. But that’s not the case with George’s death. It’s sudden, brutal, and painfully realistic. The show completely steps away from its usual comedic structure, and that tonal shift hits hard. It resonates more deeply than many dramatic scenes from other genres, because it taps into something profoundly human. We see ourselves in the grief of the Cooper family and that’s what makes it so moving.

I've never cried this much in any TV show/movie in my entire life! George was a lot like my father – not too tough, not too soft – so the feeling was like losing someone from my family. The episode was amazingly written and I really appreciated Neemow speech.

He was a big, goofy lug, but his enormous girth made him a metaphorical and subliminal anchorage for the whole family.

Jeez, this made me cry so much. But the jump cut to his last words "see yall later" so nonchalantly. I snorted due to the dichotomy of emotions.
