    This video was originally scheduled for late November, but as Wunderland Kalkar only has a couple of weeks left in its season, I thought I'd rush this out before they close for winter. (And yes, their Covid-precautions were thorough.) Thanks to everyone there, including the ride attendant on the Vertical Swing: I had to ride quite a few times to get all the shots I needed…!

    I lived close to that place. There was a myth that it was bought for one euro, i guess a big exaggeration. But i do wonder where that myth came from and how much was paid.

    If this closes someday I imagine Defunctland would make a video on it that's 70% history of the power plant 20% about the park itself and about a 10% margin of error for a rant on Michael Eisner

    What would have been amazing is if that particular reactor was used. As a fast reactor it could breed fuel, but also possibly be configured to use up bits (like actinides) in partially spent fuel from conventional [thermal spectrum] reactors. Too bad fear triumphed in a knee jerk way. Nothing like an RMBK with safeties overridden by a party official.

    Us Ukrainians would much rather prefer our country to be called "Ukraine" instead of "the Ukraine". We politely ask you to work against calling our country just "Ukraine". I mean no offense of any sort, and I'm a big fan of your content!

    This park is truly amazing, it has almost all the basic attractions you want in a park as mentioned, a roller coaster, vertical swing, teacups, a water ride. Alongside that an entire museum! and it also has free ice cream, fries and soda. Truly amazing, I hope I get to visit it this summer.

    I went there yesterday with my family and a friend (I’m a Dutch so it isn!t that far away) and I’m ultra scared of height, we have been there 2 times before and I was to scared to the the “zweefmolen” (idk the English words, but I mean THE attraction everyone is there for) and this time I went. Also you did not mention the unlimited free fries, ice cream and drinks

    This park was recently taken over by a company that, among other things, owns a big events venue and a prop hire/set dressing business. They recently announced that they will be doing a Halloween scare event this year. Given the already very creepy venue and their prior experience, it'll be very interesting to see how it turns out.
